Got the aluminum shocks delivered and installed. Its been raining. Have to wait for a clear and dry day. Springs are at stock height. No adjustments, yet. A bit more stiff and right about 5mm maybe 6mm ride height. I need a gauge.

Thanks all! I crashed this car and it flipped end over end for about 15ft. Tore a brand new rear foam tire and the front bottom retainer rings for the hubs came off; luckily not lost but I have a fix for lost retainer rings. Metal Bread ties (stripped of the plastic).:D Its back on the road, but a bit more worn.

Yeah I'm glad nothing was damaged as well. I did run into other people that had the metal hubs that were having the same problem with the retainer ring clip coming loose, especially when bumping curbs or road debris.

Yeah That Frazer is sweet. I must say love the orange on gray body nice color. I'm more of a dirt guy my self. But would love to put a brushless system into the pro x see how fast it can get. Just worried Bout the sst transmission. Not sure it will hold up to the power of brushless.
So far so good with the brushless system. Its held up pretty nice, but its alot of torque and speed. Especially, on 3s. If ur not tuned up for street u could hit alot of curbs. By the way i just tore up my diffs because of leaks. Check the other thread.

lol, I've hit my fair share of curbs in my time :)

Dam bud. That's horrible sorry to hear that. I will check it out. I'm trying to find parts for the Kyosho proX. But there really isn't anything out there.. I don't want to ruin it. And not be able to drive it at all. I might throw a high kv motor in it. As it only has a brushed motor in it now..Thanks for the tip. I could always change the tires and change the shock set up. Maybe one of these days...

After the differential rebuilds I ordered the one-piece Titanium drive shaft from KanizRC (for custom driveshaft order at @ [email protected], Steel or Titanium). So STABLE. Then I ordered the Metal Swing Shaft S for the front after them being on back order for LONG time. Then I ordered the front turnbuckles that are on the FW06 to replace the plastic dogbones. By the way, some of the parts from the FW06 fit the Fazer platform. I was able to make some speed runs but my GPS from Dynamite has a crappy battery. I did get some good videos but no speed meter. Ordering a GNSS.

I was able to ordrer my Kyosho Fazer MK2. They were out of stock for about a year. I will be doing upgrades. I bought the metal center driveshaft and replaced the plastic one. I will be upgrading to brushless & sensorless motor with ESC. I bought some foam tires for my Kyosho FW06 also a 1/10 and lots of parts are compatible with the Fazer MK2.View attachment 128329

I've heard of people racing this platform. Not sure though. There aren't any asphalt tracks in Central Texas so I'm restricted to street bashing, for now.
On my Fazer I've hit about 65mph solid. On 3s, 36t pinion. I just recently put the 37t and still tuning suspension and steering. You run out of street quick at those higher speeds.

Wow that's some serious speed for an rc...love it...I'm thinking of getting one for my self and racing my boy 👦...cheers pal have a great 2022.

Finally got one of my last upgrades. FAW208 HD Stabilizer Set S/M/H (FZ02/2pcs). I had to find it on a 3rd party site since Kyosho hasn't stocked alot of option parts lately. These stabilizer bars are ready to install. Took me all of 30min.

That's cool..how much did they set you back...Will it make much difference?

Hell yeah bud the kyosho looks good well done. Nice speeds your turning out. Sky's the limit you'll have to start adding weight to the front end if you plan on going faster. And yes the steets end real quick at those speeds. Got to try and find a shopping center parking lot. Or a warehouse parking lot to get more room to run...👍👍👍

You are right about the weight in the front. I have the body and suspension dialed in ok but can still see a little bit of shakyness when I hit 60mph. Still testing...

IMO, the shocks definately are better. They have the tension screw adjustment for tighter control on the shocks. Shop around, these might me cheaper in other websights.

Is it a 1/10 scale? I found that the FW06 has some interchangeable parts with the Fazer MK2, FYI.

Weight is going to help keep the front end planted on the ground. Or you will start to get lift. Once that starts you will loose your steering since wheels are off the ground. There a guy in here with a 100mph rustler with 1.5lbs added to over the front wheels on chassis..

The shocks with adjustment will help. You can change you springs and also the oil weight. To help dial in your shocks to keep your tires planted on ground as well.

Yeah the kyosho Pro X is a 10th scale. It's a old buggy from 94. That I'm doing a restoration on. I just did one on a Duratrax Maximum MT.. also have a rc10 original and a tamiya original 85 86 Blackfoot and a grasshopper which will all be redone over the next yr or so... I like restorations it a little more challenging. Then just messing with the new kits...

Great looking car. Love the aluminum and cf together, they compliment each other nicely.

Good to know some parts are interchangeable. Thinking of making this a winter project.

Good morning from Puerto Rico,

Any suggestions for a rally conversion for my Fazer MK2?

I’ve recently come across a video where the Kyosho Rage shocks and shock tower were used. The body posts seem like collateral though…

Thank you 🙏🏽
