For the record, my best set up so far has been...the stock esc and rx, with a titan 12t 550 traxxas motor, and a 25t pinion on the stock spur. Fast, good torque off the line, runs nice and cool on 2s for a good long time even on the hot days like today.

The larger 550 can also allows for this...which helps out a lot.
