Hi !
I bought my first rc car 2 month ago. A slash bl2s. Already have rpm wide arms, new springs and few other modification. I want bandland monster truck tires soon. I'm bashing with it.

Why everyone hate the traxxas servos ? Its no fast and strong i see it. But it has a quick response and i never tought about changing it. I can't really see why its one of the first thing ppl change on their traxxas. I feel like doing alot of things before that. I was just wondering.

Their electronic components tends to not last long. I typically, replaced the stock components with an inexpensive and better quality aftermarket brand, when they die.

Traxxas servos. Traxxas electronics in general are just overpriced imo. I have a 2075R in my rustler which was 45 bucks when I got it a few years ago. I can get the same thing for 20 some bucks on Amazon which would be the same metal gear servo but aluminum case and some cases, more torque/ speed. Most of the stock servos in the lower end cars such as the 2075 and 2056 servos. Those are blue case, and plastic gear which the motor in the servo likes to give up. Or the gears strip out. Or the case breaks. Traxxas sells those around 30 bucks while there ideally worth 10 bucks.

Usually that's all RTR electronics but I only have experience with Traxxas so that's my story. But with spektrum their stuff if a bit better and lasts a bit longer from what I heard

I see. Well ill wait till i break it lol
What should i buy ? Like really really cheap, since I'm ok with the stock one.

I'm a wait until it breaks kinda guy myself.
Honestly, unless you're into racing, I just buy something that's highly rated on Amazon. This has always worked well for me.

Cheap 20kg / 277oz servo. $13.66. Your stock one is 5.76kg / 80oz.

It confirms what i already tought. Any cheap good rated servo looks fine compared to shocks, drive shafts and other components.

You can get new take-off Traxxas parts much cheaper than from Traxxas.

Most of my Traxxas models still have Traxxas servos too. The only RTR brand servo I had actually fail early was from Associated, in the MT10.

Some folks demand the best "numbers" they can get... both approaches are fine. Like the song says: If it makes you happy...

Yea its another option and ill be sure the servo will work. I could get a better traxxas for cheap.

I need to clarify my previous statement. If I buy a used RC, I'll tear it down and go through it. I won't put a Traxxas servo in anything just because they fail so easily, and there's no sense installing a servo just to have to install another one soon after. So if it comes with one, it goes in the garbage. But if I buy a new RTR, I'll drive it til the servo breaks.

Extra servos are a good thing to have on hand. RTR servos don't tend to last long or perform the best. I'm not a servo snob, Like @Xraycer Said Amazon servos work well.
