Can the HOTA D6 charge 2 different batteries at the same time? Like a 2S and 3S
Yes, it can. Without power distribution or the capability to sync the channels, you're limited to 100w per channel on AC power. With normal 1C charge rates and 2S/3S packs... you'll be fine. Once you get into 2C charge rates and/or larger 4S LiPo packs... this is where the charger's AC power gets maxed out. Just gotta do some spec checking of the top contenders when shopping for your charging needs.

Well, my Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus charger just bit the dust last night. The fan started making weird noises, then all the lights went out and came back on. It was good for one battery while I closely watched it but of course do not trust it now. (4 months old averaging 3 batteries per week, and I always kept a fan blowing on it during charging). I opened it up and neither side of the CCA's looks obviously bad and the fan runs fine now. Odd.

Should I be ok using the adapter mentioned earlier and my Spektrum smart charger for my Traxxas 2P and 3P? I guess if the balance lead connection shows the cell voltages correctly then the Spektrum charger should be good.

Idk if it's just me, but I'm feeling a bit let down with this HOTA. XT60 charger ports. But only comes with 2 adapters that are the same and from I can tell so far: useless. I was able to use one of em and made my own Traxxas XT60 adapter. My new HRB battery had an XT60, but I changed it to a TRX for ease of plug-n-play. Guess I should just go back with em and then change the Traxxas ESC to an XT60 instead. That should solve that whole debacle. I actually like the TRX plugs, but the XT60s are better. And more universal. But I'm still feeling like the HOTA should have come with more adapters

So after my Traxxas charger bit the dust after a very short life, I switched over to using my Spektrum S1100 Smart Charger with adapter cable including balance leads for charging my Traxxas batteries. The Spektrum does a nice job including proper balancing, and although it correctly identified the Traxxas 3S 5000 as allowing 2C charging, I generally just charge at 1C (5 amps). (this is a follow up after using the Spektrum for a while now to confirm it is working very well).

UPDATE: The HOTA D6 Pro has been awesome so far. I charge a 3S pack almost daily and a 2S pack every now & then and no issues. 2 thumbs up from me. Note: I'm not a huge fan of the roller scroller push button selector, but it works.
