My son’s Rival MT10 has sway bars and it traction rolls on grass which is annoying. Will be interesting to see how the MT48 handles with its much wider track.
We're getting ready to leave for the dirtpark now. We're bringing her old MT410 along to dare to compare. This should be interesting. Report in about 3 hours.

Looking forward to your results!

How was it?!I didn’t sleep a wink 😉
I can't really tell it from the MT410. We beat the hell out of both trucks and when we were done the suspension pills were deformed leaving the a-arms wiggly on the MT410, the MT48 was still tight. If Tekno had mounted the motor 2mm farther back I wouldn't have to mount the Monster 2 ESC sideways. During the driveway test the night before it drove like an Axial rock crawler. For yesterday's run the diffs were 50/500/30w and it drove like we expected, very good. Overall I give the MT48 4.5 stars. If it had a bit more ESC space it would have gotten 5 stars. I think the truck would benefit from an EB48 chassis plate.

This is all based on one drive. After I get more battery packs in it I may have a different opinion.

Thanks for the report!

I just want to say I own a Tekno ET/EB/SCT/MT 410/48 2.0/2.1/2.2 and I appreciate the simplicity of the new truck. With the ET/EB I have never ending issues with the steering blocks bearings and the tuning inserts.

Thanks for your thoughts! I’ve never owned an OG MT410 but I wasn’t expecting it to be night and day different, but i would have thought the longer chassis would chance the driving characteristics a bit.

It’s going to be about 2 more weeks before I have all the bits before I can finish mine :(

Tekno has a reputation for offering a durable and reliable product. This 1/8 MT is no doubt a durable and reliable kit.

As a kit, this Tekno compares to what I've been looking into as a 1/8 MT build from a slider - RedCat Kaiju EXT. To build it out with a list almost identical to the "Needed To Complete" as listed with the Tekno comes in at $1,056.90. That's based on $294.99 cost of a Kaiju slider off Ebay. Add in the delta of $285 USD and that tops out at $1341.90 to flesh out this Tekno.

Not saying the flesh out cost to complete the Tekno kit is good or bad; high or low. Just offering it up as a ballpark figure for what it takes to put a 1/8 MT naked kit on the ground RTR. FYI. -AC

Since we're on the subject of cost, my new truck's final cost is $1300.00. Monster 2 / 1515 combo, Reefs 500 Raw servo, Proline LP Badlands, Tekno steel cross pins and spur gear, and one Unbreakable body. For $200 more the Princess could have had a 1/5th Outcast.

To put things in perspective most non-racer kits use recycled beer cans for their aluminum. I highly doubt if they have invested the time, energy, and money that Tekno does with their R&D. There's a price for all this.

😎🤣

I just thought I would throw this out there.
It's the old Jconcepts Kraton body that used to sit on my Sledge. It's just holding space till my Unbreakable body arrives. I think it looks pretty good. So there's an out of the box option.

Looks like a truggy now!

Are these the Unbreakable bodies?
