I ran a couple of batteries through the Rlaarlo XTS-S10 sure-looks-like-a-Subaru rally car.
I tried out a new CNHL "Black" series 3S 2200mah shorty pack (I just bought a pair of them), and was looking forward to comparing it to the Rlaarlo 3S 2200mah pack that came with the car. The CNHL LiPOs usually do pretty well in testing I've seen.
Well, it seemed the car was a bit faster with the CNHL, but it didn't run as long. I didn't measure the run time but it was noticeably shorter. When I got home and put the batteries on the charger, both at 1C charge rate, I was surprised to see the CNHL battery had one cell at 3V and the other two at 3.2V. The Rlaarlo was at 3.4V to 3.5V on all three cells.
The CNHL battery was done charging very quickly. I forgot to read the mah that had been put in, but it must have been a lot less than the Rlaarlo took, as the Rlaarlo is still charging now! Wait.. It just beeped... the Rlaarlo took 1320mah to get back to storage charge.
So far, I'm not impressed with the CNHL battery. I guess it could improve a bit after that initial drain/charge cycle, but I'm thinking they won't be as good as the Rlaarlo.
