How's it going everyone? Today i finally got my new Arrma Felony slider\roller i bought off eBay today 3 days earlier than estimated and i'm in love with her already and i spent my afternoon tinkering with her and test fitting my chosen electronics i pulled from my poor worn XO-1 i used to call Serena. Although my unboxing experience was 70\30 best of all they gave me the original Arrma packaging both the car box and the outer shipping box but they forgot my hood accessory sticker sheet and the car sticker sheet and the included 16 tooth pinion didn't fit my Castle motor but i took the Safe-D5 pinion off my X-Maxx which worked perfectly.

Here's some pics of my newest hottest girl in town.

Also bought the body along with the car at the same time but later discovered my car came out of the factory a black car so the Orange body i bought isn't the original one for this car and the rear diffuser lexan doesn't match the Orange body. But now that i think about it i might move up someday to a Protoform C8 Corvette body if they'll still be making them so it doesn't matter.

Here's some pics of my new cars stickered up body with some Infraction Hoons still need to buy a proper rear Felony set of Hoons next month. But someday i might be changing the rear diff gears to Infraction or Limitless V2 rear gears to run the Powerhobby Gripper wheels and tires.

Here's her mocked up setup with a 16 tooth pinion that came out of my X-Maxx "Maxxine" as you can tell she has the Mamba Monster X 8s with Castle 1717 1,650kv Sensored combo along with my Amazon Special servo and Zeee 3s batteries all from my old XO-1 temporarily mounted up.

To do list.

Buy and Install rear set of Silver compound Hoons tires (Will most likely happen as soon as i get paid again next month

Do wiring and get Radiolink R8FG receiver bound to my RC8X (Have receiver i took out of my X-Maxx)

Remove motor and reinstall with locktite (Will do next month)

Loctite pinion gear and finalize gear mesh (Will do next month)

Finish mounting ESC (Will do next month)

Hope you all like this build so far even though it will be a month until i finish her and run her for the first time. Stay tuned for more updates as a disclaimer this car might replace Serena my old XO-1 someday.

I looked at those when I was in GF, liked most everything about it, but couldn't get past the pivot ball suspension. I have two Traxxas models (E-Maxx and Summit) with that setup, and for me, that's enough.

Best of luck on the build!

Sorry for the late reply, These are amazing cars i had my eyes on these since i first heard of them and always wanted one but bought my XO-1 first which ever since i got my hands on the Felony i'm starting to wish i bought this car long ago instead although i haven't ran this car yet. That's cool to still see some Summit\E-Revo 1.0
and T\E-Maxx rigs still out there even though the Summit, E-Revo and E-Maxx are no longer being made by Traxxas people still love them. But the way Traxxas currently is i definitely won't be buying anymore of their cars for a long time i'll start focusing more of my money on other rigs.

Another update, I got the ESC and Servo mounted up although i stripped a couple screws but i got er done. I also got the Receiver wired up and ready to test her out still need to get rear tires for her. As you may be able to tell from the title of this thread this car is now renamed to Serena 2.0 i took that name from my XO-1 since i decided to demote the XO-1. So welcome the reborn Serena as an Arrma Felony.

Here's some pics of mounting the ESC, Servo and Receiver and one with it installed in the car.

Here she is now still need the stock Felony rear tires, the motor mount and pinion loctited and finalize gear mesh, the radio system setup and servo straightened. After she'll be a fully functioning car and i'm hoping she'll blow me away next month. So stay tuned for future updates on the reborn Serena Arrma Felony project.

How is everyone on this great and hot Friday? I just got my new Arrma Felony now called Serena 2.0 all built up and ready to be run for the first time once i get the new rear tires in. And yes i had my XO-1 named Serena as well but i decided to take that name and put it on this car as my new favorite girl\rc car since the XO-1 is starting to drift away.

Here she is, Serena 2.0 reborn as an Arrma Felony who used to be a Traxxas XO-1.

I got the electronics fully installed and setup also got the motor and pinion loctited then got the gears meshed up.

Update: 6:45 pm today, I got to finally test drive her for the very first time and she performed great even with Infraction hoons and after some trimming on the steering she went straight as an arrow down my street.

Here's another pic of her i also installed the front splitter Intercooler and twin turbo hood accessory setup.

Next month i will be buying all new Hoons for her of correct size for a Felony and she'll be complete until i start upgrading her with some carbon bits and other stuff.

How's it going? Today during the evening i got to run my new Arrma Felony called Serena II for the 2nd time this time a mostly full run until the weather started to sprinkle rain. Under 30 minutes of run time i had a blast only issue i had was the pinion gear let go but tightened it then continued the run with no other issues later i reloctited the pinion. This month finally bought the right tires for her a full set of silver Hoons so i was able to finally run her i also bought a new rare Arrma that used to be Arrma's 3s on road speed basher. Can anyone guess what my next new car will be?

Here's an after run photo of my Felony.

That's all for now, Stay tuned since tomorrow my next new car will be here tomorrow put you're guesses in the comments below.

Hi everyone, It's been awhile since i released an update on my Felony Serena 2.0 project since i've been busy with both RC and non RC related stuff as well as the arrival of a new Transmitter from Spektrum known as the DX6C after the discontinuation of use of my old Radiolink RC8X following a lot of unfortunate issues from the day i got it till the last time i ran it. But today was the new radios first test run and it went mostly flawlessly minus servo centering issues possibly caused by a bent servo horn along with the cheap amazon servo i was running.

Here she is after today run with the new radio.

Here she is in the garage after putting on a couple of Spektrum smart tech stickers i got from my Firma 160 that i put into my Outcast 8s EXB.

Here's another shot but underneath the body. Still running the MMX8s\1717 combo but now with a more reliable radio and receiver with AVC. It's basically a more advanced gyro that works with both steering and throttle and with the DX6C and other Spektrum DSMR computer radios you can fine tune the sensitivity, gain and priority.

You may ask, what's next for this car? The obvious is replace the servo with something way higher quality possibly a Savox or Perfect Pass and the servo horn either with another stock one or go Hot Racing they have one with an aluminum link. and maybe a motor fan with also maybe a heatsink i was thinking about Castle's motor fan for the 17xx series motors. and i don't know whatelse to get after that except for new tires and a custom painted body at some point.

Hi everyone, How's it going? Today i ran my Arrma Felony Serena 2.0 again this time for almost an hour still fighting the servo trying to get it to go straight other than that no other issues i'm currently having with car or setup. No overheating either on a 75 - 80+ F day ESC or Motor running a 16 tooth pinion and stock spur it was running 98 - 103 F ESC and 125 - 145 F Motor during consistent bashing. Also no issues with the new radio Spektrum DX6C and i love how it feels in the hand it's very comfortable so far happy with the purchase of that radio.

Here's some pics of her after today's run.

What's next after this? Once next month hits I'll be getting a Perfect Pass servo for this car along with the Castle link so i can finally program my Castle ESC's and crank the BEC on this MMX8s up 8.0V as well as fine tune some other stuff in the ESC. Not sure what else i'll do after that.

How's it going everyone on this fine Wednesday night? Here i have an update for my Felony which as of today has new electronics a Hobbywing Max 6 G1\4985SL 1,650kv combo with a different servo and my trusty old Futaba 4PM for now. Since i pulled the Castle MMX8s combo and Spektrum DX6C radio for my XO-1 project which i hope to have back up and running next month.

Here she now is now named Misty from Pokemon since i have decided to take the Serena name and give it back to the XO-1.

Note that this setup might be temporary since i might either buy another MMX8s combo or a Max 8 G2S combo for this car as well as another Spektrum AVC receiver down the line sometime next year. Along with a few other upgrades like a new body like the Protoform C8 Corvette body and definitely some new tires.
