What a day....I did take some video. I have not had time to look at it yet. The video I should have taken was with the mini b, think I did my best driving with that today. The ruckus is not a great choice for a carpet track....some laps were good. There was a lot of time on the roof.

I won a new body on ebay last night for 7 bucks not knowing what today would bring. I did not drive the tt02.. .I did not plan in the time you need to have a faster motor with deadlocks not designed for it. I spent a lot of time putting those back on...

I had to upgrade the springs on the front to handle the jumps on the track. Then the back springs to deal with some of the features they built in. By the time I got there I had blown the tires off about 11 timed I think. There was a lot of crashing...I broke nothing. At some point the top body panel came off....some how I and someone else there looked all around....I walked the track twice...I can not find it.

Wow! Looks like a bit of rough day at the track! A few missing parts and a shopping list for improvements... not bad! 😁👍

Any progress on the wheel hexes for a different wheel set up?

I think the mini b might be trying to grow a beard. 🤔
Waiting on the wheel nuts I ordered, and should be able to mount the rear wheels. Should make a big difference. These have got to go....
It would make sense. I have set a fine example for the mini b... .some guys learn to shave, some of us enjoy being men!

A day at the track , even a frustrating 1 is never wasted if you do your part. Yesterday I did a bunch of swearing, added new springs, more swearing.. and more. Today I found the best rear suspension mod for this car as a result.

This is the stock set up on the right rear.
And this is the new set up.

I took the hub/axle carrier and the camber rod and swapped the components from the right to left sides.
Now the camber rod sits in the middle and does rub the cage when the suspension bottoms out. The fit of the lower pivot pin is so tight I stripped the hex head trying to remove it. So I have also reamed out the holes and added thicker, more free pivoting traxxas slash pivot pins. Having done this, everything is so improved I would almost suggest these parts were assembled on the wrong sides from the factory

Looks like it lines up much better. 👍

OTH248W is the wheel you want. Will fix offset without fattening up the hexes any more.

Optima Mids do the same thing, front and rear when using 'common' or 'modern' offset 2.2" buggy wheels. The offset pushes the wheel too far into the suspension and steering. Makes it look like a touring car! 🤣

OTH247 for fronts if you want to experiment. These are wider wheels for 4x4 but I bet they'd look ok. Would hook that front end up well I bet too.

Now that wheels are on the back....View attachment 258162
I need slightly wider hexes to cure a rubbing issue...

That's what I was afraid of when dealing with the unknown. Well, at least the stock wheel nuts, or even some of the other lower profile wheel nuts out there, will give you room to work with.

The fronts fit great. The rears will fit great...probably after I go to the lhs in a while. The rims are sold as a set for a buggy from serpent. Tires feel great. All 4 with rubber was like 30 bucks

Hello

The information you have posted inrelation to the sand master has been very helpful.

I decided to purchase a sand master and I should receive it tomorrow (NZ time).

The sand master has been offered on special at $245.00 NZD from a hobby shop reduced down from $399.00 NZD.

I have some ideas to mod the buggy up so i am hoping we can share some ideas.

Will post an update after my first round of mods.

Sounds great! Looking forward to pics and mods from another sandmaster. I should be back on this in the next day or 2. I have some wheel hexes to modify to make my rear wheels work. Gotta get over the next town to use a lathe for a minute.
