Tried some new tires on my vesla, pro line badlands mx57. Great grip! But the stock tranny gears proved to be the next weak spot with the Taylor 50gt. Hardened gears next item on the shopping list.

If you ran over the neighbor's cat with that truck it would be dead, I'm truly impressed. That's one burly truck.
I'm curious, what does it weigh?

Yes, it's heavy to lug around! Not sure exactly, more than 30 pounds, more than enough to break a leg! You wouldn't know it to see it running, that Taylor engine is a real power house! Throws it around like a rag doll. Would love to race a brushless model, then keep on bashing while he waits to cool down or charge batteries. Lol
Although keeping this thing from chewing up parts and spitting them is still a work in progress. But worth every penny and drop of sweat!
Takes more than the front rack of the 4 wheeler when I bring it to the back field

Finally started digging into the “end of outdoor season” tear down. Wow this thing was a mess! As stuff comes off it’s all going in the basket for my ultrasonic. I plan to clean and re-oil all the bearings, rebuild the shocks and set them up for carpet, rebuild all three diffs, cva shafts, paint up a new shell and add some lightness. Basically go back to the beginning and build it as an RC10B74.1 without the “D.” I’ve got some titanium on the way from Klinik and I want to pick up a slipper if I do another AMain order any time soon. Might throw som carbon fiber side guards in the cart too if I land this job I interviewed for this week. For now I’ll just put some heavy diff oil in the center.

I installed an SAE plug on my riding mower so I can plug my battery tender in without having to even lift up the seat. Apparently I can't dremel a straight line cuz the plug came out a bit crooked lol. Oh well. As long as it works :)

Installed an OEM metal diff gear set and sway bar on my Associated SR-10. The nylon gear set was still in good shape, but the upgrade will give peace of mind when I up the input voltage.

Having turned the clocks back (stupidest thing ever 🤢🤮), today begins my journey into RC slumber. Sundays and Mondays are my days off. If temps aren't above 50*F, I don't take my RCs out. Got plenty of time to catch up on maintenance/cleaning now.

The SC10 is not really not too bad, as far as the dirt goes, but I have a feeling once I give it a once over... it'll be used for funding my next SCT.

Is that battery hold down a custom made strap from another kit? Or did you buy it like that? I thought the SC10 had like four tabs that held it down.

Finally getting to it
New LFR body for the wheeler
Trying to figure out color scheme since I'm almost out of the blue and orange. I have a full can of silver and maroon

Honestly, it looks better clear.
Maybe I should just get another body, keep it clear, and keep it for show. Idk, i don't have 28 bucks to spare.
Last night did the body, used the Velcro from the old one as i didn't have any left over Velcro.
Cleaned up the car, somewhat. Screws backed out so cleaned them off, and re loctite it.
Replaced another front arm. I probably keep breaking them, because I just realized I was using carbon arms, so I'm actually going to get the OEM replacement arms so those should be more durable.

Tonight Ill wrench on the Mini B, replace the rear shock tower with the OEM replacement as I broke the CF one.
Clean up the blue shavings from the slipper, rebuild the slipper, and get it running good. Ill probably shred the slipper again so Ill get the MIP slipper kit for it. TLR has one but will probably be on pre order until the end of the year.

The stock SC10.2FT battery strap/brace was:

Which reminds me... where the heck did I put it?
Pictured on my SC10.2FT (earlier post) is the JConcepts battery brace: https://blog.jconcepts.net/2012/04/jconcepts-new-releases-carbon-fiber/

EDIT: I used my SC10.2FT battery strap on my SC10.3SFT (Semi Factory Team 🤣 ) build from spare parts...

It was hard to let go of my never used Pro Comp & Lucas Oil bodies, but I did it. A couple of weeks ago, I put the SC10.3SFT in a box to weigh it, and tucked it away.... I forgot where I put it. I think I'm done with 2wd short course RCs and was planning on selling it.

I bought this used sct410.3 for a fair price, when I got it though, it had a boat load of diff fluid all over its rear end!
Opened it up to investigate, sure enough it appears to me it wasn’t properly built. The screws were very tight and I didn’t see much grease on the orings.

Cmon….. I wish it was at least 50 degrees right now. Get out there!

Not RC
But these are my Sony BT headphones. Extra bass
3 years old, still works good. But since these are on ear headphones, and I sleep with these on sometimes, the black like fabric or rubber is coming off, it was getting very bad so I just decided to take all of it off. Before I used gorilla tape to hold the black together but after a few months, residue everywhere so I just used some clear tape to cover that up since I can't get it out and clear tape doesn't leave residue.
