Hi guys!
Currently looking for a new charger. mostly in safety purpose (just to keep this in mind)
i've read this thread. got a bit better understanding, but still have some questions.

First of all - is a choice. Is HOTA D6 Pro still the best one to buy in 2025? as on their website i found some other nice chargers like P6 and H6, S6
so which one would you suggest?
btw i currently own iMAX B6 V3

Second question is....is it always 66-76 mins to charge one battery? i've read that i have to put as many Amps as mAg/10 i have rule... should i? can i go for higher current?

Thank you for your advices.

The D6 is only a 200w charger at 15a. It doesn't come with any accessories. Just a AC cable. For $118 new, good bargain. Then you must purchase all charger & balance leads. Another $65. For just a 200w charger. There are 300w; 16a & 1000w; 25a available now that come with everything you need in the box.

The most advanced chargers today imo is either any Junsi iCharger or the 1000 series chargers from skyrc/hitec. They are 300 bucks plus for most of those high end chargers though. Mainly depends what you wanna do. Just being a casual basher or RCer charging at 1C, or a racer that charges and discharges at high amps.

Safety, any modern charger has alarms, warnings and limit parameters so you'll be good there.

I personally use a skyrc t200 and serves me well. But a bit outdated in terms of a basic LCD screen and a sort of low 200w max on AC.

My terms for a good charger:
200W minimum
AC/DC power preferred
Has a IR meter/reader
Does balance charge and storage charge
Has XT60s as an input (some older ones use 4mm banana plugs which is still relevant but... 🤷)

I prefer SkyRC. There's even a sale from an Austrian shop right now but you just haaaad to leave the EU. 🙄😁

Any decent charger is just as safe as any other, provided they work as they should (a.k.a. get a reputable brand one).

Most Li-pos can be charged faster (2C to even 5C) so that will cut down on charging time. But it's still healthiesr to charge at 1C (so a 5000mAh battery = 5Ah battery = 5A charging current).

Tell us which batteries you plan on charging and we can tell you how much power you need.

I purchased a gensacearespammers D300 at lunch for $199.99 shipped. 300w AC, 16amp.
The balance current on that one is kinda low for the price.

That's exactly what I mentioned
As I understand - I will need a separate DC PS? Struggling to find any with xt connectors. How people usually do this?
If you look on aliexpress, you can find pretty good deals on the D6 Pro. The D6 Pro runs on AC. So it just plugs into the wall.

For cables, I just solder up my own. You can buy connectors and wire on Amazon. Or you can grab cables off Amazon to go from the charger to your batteries.

Ok, I'll keep an eye out on my gensacearespammers gensacearespammers gensacearespammers gensacearespammers & I'll
You can find the Hota D6 Pro for under $90 USD if you shop around.

Keep an eye out for a 90 buck D6, if & only if it's in a warehouse in USA 48. There's nothing that says I cannot own both a gensacearespammers gensacearespammers gensacearespammers & a Hota D6 Pro at the same time in my home. It's just RC toy cars, a hobby.

You got that right! It seems that every couple of years I upgraded my chargers as my needs changed. Also, I'm the type of person who likes backups. Hopefully, the last charger I bought will be my last.

Right on, brother! I'm about to purchase all new 6s batteries. Seems 2 have bit the dust. User error or over amped, voltage sag? Maybe both. I spoke with @WickedFog about it, & I could try jump starting them, using some round about methods. I'll just get new. So, I'll get a new charger(s) as well.
