which battery is good for losi sprint car 22s?

I'm basically a novice, but getting a new Losi 22s sprint car and not sure of all the considerations of what type of battery would be good for that car. I think it has to be a 2s but what mah, discharge, which size type?

Mine came with a spectrum smart 2S 5000mah 50 c battery. That gives a plenty long run time.
I don't know if I really like that smart part, it requires a smart charger and seems unnecessarily "hi-tech" to me. - A regular lipo would work just fine also.

Thanks, yeah I'd probably opt not to get a "smart" battery unless there's a real need for it.

Is there a notable difference in weight between any of the options or are they pretty much equivalent there? There's so many batteries, just wondering if there's a key spec or two I should look for.

I had never thought about weight, so I just went out to the shop and weighed the smart and a traxxas 5000 mah. They both weighed real close to 8.5 ounces, the traxxas just 1/4 oz more - not enough to notice. This is on an old balance type scale, not a digital one.
They are also almost identical in size.

Are you planning to race this car at a track? Most tracks require you to use a hard pack.

Def check in with the track first if racing it. They also may have mah and/or burst rating restrictions.
