I'm looking at the HobbyWing Fusion for the Cen Sicario I have coming, but I'm not sure which one is the right one, since there are several options. I know nothing about crawlers and scale trucks, so I'm learning as I go, if you will. The one I'm leaning towards is the 2300KV. But that's based off what little bit I do know.

all hobbyewings are awesome!!!!! that 2300kv will have a little pep
the lower the kv rating the higher the torque but the less top speed
higher kv more top speed less torque
so for my crawlers i prefer a lower kv rating, i just installed an 1800kv in my 6x6
if we were racing your motor would beat me out, but if we were climbing obstacles i would have more low end control than you in theory id beat you in that scenario ( youd ACTUALLY PROBLY JUST HOP RIGHT UP QUICKLY AND STILL BEAT ME LOL)
what are you wanting to do with your sicario?

I've tried a few motors in my f250, it liked the castle creations slate motor pretty well, i currently have a ezrun 2400kv it hauls azz! does doughnuts like nobodies business, will pull the trailer with 3 trucks on it over rough terrain. it hauls and runs.

It's for a project I'm building. It's gonna be for plowing in the winter, and towing a reel mower in the summer. As for me, I prefer HobbyWing over any other brand, so I strictly stick with them. I don't really need speed, but I will probably need a bit more torque. I've been back and forth on either 1800KV or 2300KV for it.

Would the fusion be enough to push a plow and pull a reel mower without smoking the esc?

I guess it mostly will depend on the gearing
I have actually been trying to get an answer to that for awhile now. I have asked several questions about this same thing, but haven't really gotten much of an answer at all. If the Fusion won't do it, then I guess I start looking for alternatives. The only thing I'm sure of is I'm sticking with HobbyWing.

i just installed the fusion8 in my 6x6 last night
just got back from my first run with it and I'm really impressed with it,

I've been down this same exact road with my cen @Chubaka has as well lol, welcome to the fold bro

what kind of mower? a reel mower would probaby work well as something to pull behind, the most effective method I've seen was a 2x4 traler with weed eaters on them,

I've wanted to start a project like this so many times but never have, really looking forward to you doing this and a build thread with it bro!

It's gonna be a reel mower for sure. Since winter is coming, the mower part is gonna be on hold for now though. Right now, I'm more getting it set up for plowing snow. I picked up a used reel mower, which was a big part of why I even started the idea in the first place.
