Meh… The weather ninja’s have adopted the same sensationalism as the regular news media… Tornado WARNING used to mean there had been touch down. Now they use it in place of tornado WATCH.. I’ve been within spitting distance of (4) tornado’s in my life, and directly under (2) funnel clouds (actually won my class at “RC Traxx” in Raleigh the same evening of the first one). 2wks after we moved from Lincoln, Nebraska 45yrs ago, a massive one came through, and wiped out everyone there. It’s BS, imo, and shouldn’t be allowed..![]()
When I lived in KY we used to get tornado watches, and a few warnings. Damn those sirens are loud when you are right next to one when it goes off! My dad used to yell at me to get off the roof before I get hit by lightning.
Never actually saw one though, which is a blessing and dissappointing at the same time.
