Too cold for the workshop so created a small space in the house. Bag A completed on a Tamiya Scania 8x4!

My sons hobbies and Christmas prep is getting in the way of my hobbies. So no RC wrenching for me even though I have a heap of new parts.

Oh well, family first. At least my sons hobbies are fun too.

Merry Christmas to my RCT family 🎄🎁🎅
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

You have a great Christmas too man.

Curious, what is your son's other hobbies?

Been doing some more 3d modeling for the Doomsday build. Got the fuel cell/receiver box about done. I just remembered I need to add the antenna mount to the lid.

At the moment it's boating, fishing and surfing. Also mountain biking and hockey. And recently, girls 😆

Careful helping with that last one... at your age it takes longer for the knots on your head to subside... as your wife may show you! :hehe:

I got the motor wire extensions-leads soldered to the TP4050 1950KV motor for the Talion. Used 63/37 Kester 0.031" wire. Piece of 5052 1/8" aluminum plate for a work plate. Shrink wrapped- turned out good.

Manage to cram a 4292 1780kv Surpass hobby motor into my Kaiju EXT. 13t was the tallest I could go on the pinion because of the motor mount design.

Thought it would be under geared for 4s. Took it out for a quick little test in front of the house and it rips. GOBS of torque… standing backflips on command… more than enough and top speed was perfect. I’m hoping come summer time, this setup will run cool since it’s not working as hard and was the whole reason I went so big.

Yes I know the tires are studded. Yes I know I’ll die and kill all the neighbors/dogs if I drive it. I’m yet to lose a screw and this is not my first rodeo with doing this. It’s the middle of winter and I want to RC dang it!

Well I was working on getting the body prepped for the boys tekno build…then I was looking for something and figured I needed to clean up this mess. So now about to run and grab some storage containers 😂 the amount of shiit accumulated in one short year of doing this 😂

Better pick up a shed while you're out. Next year is just around the corner 😅
