Oh wow-I didn’t know that… Yeah-stay FAR away from AE imo, ESPECIALLY the truggy. MAJOR diff grenading issues.. It’s a VERY common problem, a MAJOR problem, and been there since they released it, and with no resolution.. I personally can’t stand having to run multiple 2s packs in 1/8… especially when the Tekno stuff is so nimble, predictable, stable, and well balanced with a “lowly” brick, or LCG… As far as bodies go-a LOT of newer drivers aren’t fans of the faster, more efficient, FAR longer lasting/durable, and easier to drive, newer bodies, and LFR (Leadfinger Racing) makes some pretty good looking “covered tower” bodies… Check out “The Patriot”, and “Strife” bodies on his site, or amain if the bigger bodies are what you prefer. Proline, and JConcepts can’t even compare to them as far as the big bodies go.. 😎
I will have to keep this in my mind and probably be inquiring again when the time comes haha I want both buggy and truggy but truggy looks way cooler first lol

Hit my build threads… I have SEVERAL lol.. They’re fairly detailed, and lots of photos. I’m about to do another on the new buggy as well here in a couple days or so.. The Associated is up there also if you wanna compare first-hand..🤙 I DO like my RC8, and I’m not bashing on them for no reason. Check out the threads, and you’ll see what I mean lol.. 🍻

honestly will prob stay tekno I know first hand how durable it is haha going off a jump and watching it tumble end over end 🤣, once the tires go I think I will take apart and clean real good and then rebuild diffs and shocks

Just saying-they’re worth checking out… They’re far from just some pics, and captions of someone putting their kit together one night lol…

I have extra nylon wire clips and extra front kingpin spring retainers, so I dyed them black like the rest of them. I used a double boiler so I didnt ruin the parts.

Put shock oil in my Granite.
THAT'S something to add to the "list of things to do to your new (sort of) Arrma"!
I had to take the axle shafts apart to locktite the axle stub screw too.
The shocks are nice and smooth now!
I also rotated the tires on my Focus. I'm pretty sure this is tge cause of my vibration.
SO HAPPY its not coming from the "new" used trans!!!

Progress on the Power Wagon, I already had all of the Injoura metal links with the increased clearance on. Today I got the rear end and shocks on with the heavy brass Injoura axle, the Injoura servo bracket and the OEM motor out. Little by little...

Bought a 3L ultrasonic cleaner and gonna put it to the test.

Tearing down the MP10 into sections small enough to fit in the bin. Essentially just front center and rear.

Removing all electronics and bearings (minus crank bearings) then just gonna dunk it for a couple cycles and see how it comes out

Also after 2 gallons the KE21SP has lost a bit of compression and is not as crisp as I’d like. I’ll attribute this to my subpar, eager to run break in process. Gonna try the ole pipe clamp pinch. If it works great if not then time to throw an actual racing engine in.

I was wondering how well one of those would for cleaning

If it isn’t already too late-I sure would remove the shocks, and diffs first… Clean those by hand.. Your solution will absolutely get past the o-rings.. Good luck on the pinch..😅

Will do that! Slowly tearing it down 5 minutes at a time when I find time to sneak out to the garage 😂 this is day 2

As it sits with the clamp the piston feels perfect right at the apex. But still need to heat, quench, and reassemble.

More progress on the Power Wagon. I got the front axle on, the motor and transmission secured. If my eyes will allow, may try to get the front shocks and servo mounted. I'm going to have to figure something out on battery placement, this motor is way bigger than the OEM variety.
