i colored the overflow with a sharpie so it would hide it, i got a white line all around em of dried glue lol.
i wanna mail my tires to @Littlemotor to glue together. but I'm afraid theyd mess up his station as dirty as they are lolol

I’m anal af about it-as just like @WickedFog and I were discussing yesterday- I can’t stand seeing shiny glue in my builds/vehicles, but I’m absolutely “function over fashion” when it comes to my tires, so I have a very specific “regiment” that I’ve tweaked over the years that yields good results as far as not looking terrible either… I haven’t had a glue joint fail in over 20yrs.

The camera makes them look FAR worse than they actually are due to my overhead light being reflected from the 12:00 positions of the beads in those shots..

I run everything but yellow, or Avid wheels.. While I DO like black wheels-they’re VERY tough to pull off on a 1/8 buggy imho… just throwing that out there!

Believe it or not-bright wheels definitely help with not only, not losing orientation of the vehicle at a distance-but also very much in making adjustments to your drive, mid-air attitude adjustments, crash prevention, etc… If you can’t see your wheels, a LOT of that stuff goes out the window.. annnnnnnd they seriously tend to LOOK crazy small, as there’s no contrast with the black tire.. Not IMPOSSIBLE to pull off, just much harder imho.. I have a FEW sets of truggy, and only ONE for buggy… There’s a reason for that.

I know you have the Tekno SCT… There are a fair amount of parts shared across the Tekno board, and it’s always prudent to run the same brand whenever adding to a fleet for obvious reasons whenever possible.. Fierce likely stocks, and REstocks more Tekno stuff than most vendors… That’s really saying something. Seen Pete have new Tekno stuff LONG before Amain lists it too.. Especially on “hard to find stuff”..

I scored my new 2.2 nitro buggy, and a TON of parts RIDICULOUSLY cheap on the 4th of July sale.. They just did a Labor Day one as well. I KNOW his Black Friday sale will be ABSURD..

I run all Tekno stuff exclusively aside from my Associated nitro buggy.. I’d wanted one for literally over 15yrs, and jumped on one when amain knocked the price down to the ground at $349… I couldn’t pass on it, but that was a stupid purchase… AE is the WORST about product support, phasing out specific models after new stuff is released, and no longer being able to find replacement parts for. And why do you think they’re marking it down? That’s right, because it’s being discontinued lol… They also are some of, if not THE most expensive (Xray WHO???) to maintain, and buy replacement, or spare parts for, and their quality has been VERY subpar over the past few years-ESPECIALLY after Thunder Tiger took over… At least I didn’t waste my money on the B4 lol.. What a shiitshow that one has been…

wow that is crazy good to know, I was looking at something different for a a truggy if and when I get one cause I like the traditional body of a truggy and not the bruggy body, also like the look of the associated buggy with the 2 battery setup but might be better to just get all techno like I was thinking originally lol

Oh wow-I didn’t know that… Yeah-stay FAR away from AE imo, ESPECIALLY the truggy. MAJOR diff grenading issues.. It’s a VERY common problem, a MAJOR problem, and been there since they released it, and with no resolution.. I personally can’t stand having to run multiple 2s packs in 1/8… especially when the Tekno stuff is so nimble, predictable, stable, and well balanced with a “lowly” brick, or LCG… As far as bodies go-a LOT of newer drivers aren’t fans of the faster, more efficient, FAR longer lasting/durable, and easier to drive, newer bodies, and LFR (Leadfinger Racing) makes some pretty good looking “covered tower” bodies… Check out “The Patriot”, and “Strife” bodies on his site, or amain if the bigger bodies are what you prefer. Proline, and JConcepts can’t even compare to them as far as the big bodies go..
