Which LiPo charger? (UK)

I am a beginner.

I intend to buy the Tamita 58682 (Audi V8 Touring).

Then I started researching batteries.

I have read the Voltz 4,000 mAh 2S 7.4v 50C Hardcase LiPo (VZ0310) battery is good.

However, I do not know much about the chargers. I have heard 'balance chargers' are best?

These are the chargers I have found:

£16 Overlander RC-3S, 20W, 0.2A-1.5A
£17 SkyRC e3, 11W, 1.2A
£21 HPI Reactor 200, 16W, 0.7A-2.0A
£24 Overlander E455, 50W, 1A-4A
£29 Etronix Powerpal EZ-4, 50W, 4A
£30 Overlander SD4 Pro, 50W, 0.5A-4A
£32 HPI Reactor 600, 50W, 0.5A-6.0A

I am not even sure if the Voltz battery pack works with the above chargers, as the chargers seem to be based in amps and the batteries in volts. As I said, I am a beginner

Any recommendations?

You should familiarize yourself more by reading these two links below. The second link will give you an idea of which LiPos are better than others (some of them you may not be able to get in the UK, but I'm assuming some of them you can) and for a LiPo charger I'd buy the HOTA D6 Pro if you can get it over there. It's one of the best chargers for beginners and has some room to grow in to.

I've heard of the Voltz brand LiPos, but I don't know anything about them. I don't believe anyone sells them here in the states. They are compatible with CCCV (balance) chargers. I'd try and get some CNHL, Turnigy, or Zippy compact LiPos.

All of those chargers you've listed there are pretty much crap. Again, look into the HOTA D6 Pro. You can find them on AliExpress if nowhere else.

Regarding the HOTA D6 Pro - it is £84 ('$108') here. As a beginner, I think it is a bit out of my budget for a battery charger.

I'd save up for it because eventually you'll outgrow whatever cheap charger you buy, and you'll end up buying it (or something more expensive) eventually anyway, but if you can't, then you can't. I only say this because we see that happen all the time, and it ends up just being wasted money in the long run.

Totally agree with Greywolf here. There is no other charger cheaper than the Hota that is really worth buying. And the Hota will be a good charger for years to come, providing LiPo technology isn't replaced by some nuclear powered batteries or something.

If you really just want a cheap charger, just buy the Imax B6 charger, which you can find on ebay or Amazon. I would verify that you are buying the actual SkyRC brand, and not some cheap Chinese clone, as there are a lot of clones out there and they are junk.

But seriously, bite the bullet and get the Hota.

and Id agree with wolf.. the chargers you listed are not the best...sure they are AC and simple push a button till you see the light on you want. but Id go with a lot better charger one you can control...many start up hobbists in rc make the wrong mistake buy buying a cheap charger then get discouraged by length of tie it takes to charge a battery and leave the hobby...not to sure about your choice of battery either..

you will need all these items also..so what else are you planning to buy?

The TT02 comes with a brushed motor and brushed/brushless ESC. At least the two that I bought did. He just needs a servo and radio system along with a battery and charger.

Welcome in @King Mustard , I highly recommend that you don't shy away from a good Lipo charger.
Going cheap could be trouble. You won't find a better charger at that price range. I would save and go with the Hota D6 Pro.

Welcome in! I’m fairly new to this as well and glad I took @WickedFog advice when I was asking the same question a few months ago. No experience with the ones you listed, but the hota one wicked (well greywolf this time) linked has been great for us, would definitely recommend it!

Thats a pretty decent charger too. Specs say its a little more powerful charging on AC but its 400mA less on the balance current. For $110 though, it looks pretty good.
