Few pieces for the mt410 2.0 kit

Fusion pro 2300kv, led programmer, shift servos, reef servo, aluminum motor mount for the bronco trx4
Which Reefs did you get?
I've only got a Raw500 and I've yet to power it up.
Pretty sure its entirely overkill for steering my Optimas. It sure is a nice looking servo tho! I can't wait to try it out!
I was looking at a 299lp or 3 maybe as a better fit.
Curious what other ppl think of their Reefs. 👍😎

I got the 422. Same one I just put in our other trx4 I just built. It seems to be nice in that one, but the only think I can compare it too is the stock one we have in the bronco 😂

Nice! The 422 has great specs too!
I can only imagine the difference over a stocker!
Nice score!

Needed some shorter ball cups. Got a couple more orders coming in this week and then I can "finally" start rebuilding my SK.

HH is having some pretty decent sales on random things. I picked up some MX43’s for half price and yellow plastics for the promoto, half price also. Saw a bunch of different expensive bodies half off too. Maybe take a look. 🤙

got a new to me but used ( 3 run car ) an associated SR10M with 4 extra bodies and a small parts case full of new spares

Also upgraded my OG NB4 to the NB4+
and also some more mylaps 3 wire transponders and a couple set of oval racing tires and wheels

Grabbed a new shock building/filling stand..

I had an El Cheapo from Protek that was supposed to work for 1/8 stuff, and it absolutely does not.. Not all (4) at once, without staggering front, rear, front, rear, and it’s not at all stable when arranging them that way.. Also made of the cheapest, garbage plastic I’ve ever had for tool/jig construction.. It’s $9.99 on amain currently, but was $16.99 when I got it a year ago… So it was a fairly big let down to say the least..

This one from the company that does my bypass piston kits (Vision Racing Products [VRP]), appears to be a much nicer design, and far higher quality build.. it wasn’t the same price point, but at likely 3-4 times the quality; I’m good with it..

Here’s the shiity Protek that doesn’t really do what they advertise:

Pretty ridiculous if you ask me…. so here’s the upgraded stand I picked up from VRP..

Carbon fiber, and CNC’d Billet Aluminum…🤩

I've had my old Duratrax shock stand for way too many years, but looks like they still make it. It works well, and is very balanced.

1.2mm screw set
1.6mm screw set
2mm screw set
Some more pink drift tires
replacement 2.5mm hex driver
replacement 3mm hex driver
3s 360mah lipo
A HO Marklin tank car
3 old Science And Mechanics Magazine

Yeah-that stand does the same thing as the Protek with 1/8 scale… Seems like almost all of the stands that advertise working for 1/10 AND 1/8 work well for 1/10, and 1/8 was an afterthought… Pretty misleading, and aggravating. 🙄
I usd it when I assembled the MT410, which is 1/8 and it worked for me... those shocks are 16mm? If i had bigger diameter shocks, a step drill would easily enlarge the 1/8 holes. Plenty of material around them.

Yep-the OG MT410 (MonsterTruck4wd10thScale) uses 1/8 size shocks on a 1/10 platform. The newer 2.0 uses smaller 1/10 size big bore bodies… Lame.. If those (16mm 1/8 bodies) worked, then my stuff wouldn’t have any issues working either, aside from possibly the length.. Very strange that Duratrax would have 1/8 shocks in 1/10 holes right on the box.. If that IS the case-their advertising guy needs a new line of work lol..

Yours didn’t sit like this in the stand?

Here it is with 1/10 shocks obviously:

Right on the packaging…

When searching for a decent stand a year ago, this was the primary issue for me personally.. If they were reamed, or drilled large enough to pass THROUGH the top plate as the 1/10 shocks do, then the stand would be too short to retract the pistons for bleeding… 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

I printed a stand like that CF/aluminum one shown above... hopefully the VRP's base is bigger than it looks, and there's some weight to it.

I ended up modifying a shock stand that was more like the first one you show in your pictures. I made inserts (black thingamabobs in bottom picture) for Tekno's 13mm shocks...

Nice work man! The inserts deal is killer!

The VRP uses geometry/physics to place the weight of the shocks directly over the center of the base. All I know is it can’t be nearly as cumbersome as this p.o.s. Protek I’ve got..😅🤷🏻‍♂️
