i’d want a printer but I got no use for one unfortunately
You'd be surprised how much you need one and don't even realize it. I have fixed so many things with mine. And I have come up with solutions to some things I needed for convienience. Like this little hanger on my Kennedy tool box.

I mean I don’t disagree but I also don’t know what i’d need to make it’s like it’s something you don’t know you need/want till you have it

Yeah. When you have one, you will find a need for it. I designed a clamp for Greywolf to print. The clamp was for a light fixture in his home. One broke on him, and he needed a replacement. Had he not been able to print one, it's hard telling whether he could have found a replacement clip, or had to replace the entire light fixture.

It was 4 of out the 8 clamps for the light cover and if I hadnt been able to print new ones, Id have been replacing that light just 2 years after I bought it. F You cheap Chinese crap! 🤣

yeah I get that would be nice but also just don’t want it sitting for the occasional use lol

I have two sets of folding closet doors in my apartment. They are those cheap, cardboard ones. The screw that holds the knobs on had pulled right through the back. I printed two washers that would cover the hole and hold the screw from pulling through the door. Been working now for 5 years.

Everybody that gets one started out saying that. Then they will say they can't live without them 😉

I wanted to try 3d printing but could’ve even figure out how to make a curved line on blender lol
WF has some video links to a guy on YT that teaches ya how to 3D model in Fusion, which is a free program.

I used solidworks my freshman year of college which was a while ago now but i’d probably get that to do it cause it’s so much easier lol
If you already have an idea on how to 3D model you will have a big leg up on a lot of people that first start in 3D printing.

Try Fusion 360 for personsl use, and watch this series. You'll be modeling chit up in no time.
I’ll have to give it a try. Was gonna reach out to the forum to make some larger mounts for my 1/10 starter box to fit my nitro drag slash properly but maybe I’ll try to design some myself

For now I’ve just butchered some 1/8 lexan lol
