Gorgeous day, today! Plan was for after work to swing by Lowe's to pick up a new gas grill. Then head home to hit the treadmill, and then dinner.
I wanted an unassembled grill so waited about 15 minutes for this employee to go in the back to get the grill. He pulled the wrong model. With the help of another employee, this time it took around 10 minutes.
Wanted to use my Lowe's card, so I can take advantage of the 12 months no interest deferred payments. The card, with no balance on it, was declined! At this point, I was done! Just wanted to get home and do my workout and have dinner.

I agree. This body might be the most aerodynamic body with the most down force ever... Its hideous.
Just because someone got high enough to build a cybertruck doesn't mean the rest of us have to like it.
Is there a truck or buggy or something 1:1 that these 'ugly' bodies are being modelled after?
I seriously don't know.
I'd like for someone to explain where this trend came from and how it relates to actual 1:1. How did it get shrunk down into the ugly little bodies we have today?

I have a Weber kettle grill. Most days, nowadays, I have too much 💩 to do and not enough time. Gas is quick. The charcoal grill and Blackstone are used on nice days when I have more time.
The scenario with Lowe's actually worked out well. It never occurred to me to check on replacement parts on Amazon. I have an entry level grill, I bought from Walmart about 3 years ago, so I just figured there wouldn't be aftermarket parts. Apparently, there is for my exact model.
The grill I have is in good condition except for the grate and burner shields. The $80 kit came came with all the high wear and tear parts: burners, grates, shields, and igniters.
New grills are built so cheap, nowadays! So flimsy, because they use the thinnest metal material possible. The covers weight next to nothing, so the heat retention is piss poor! Even on a $600 Weber gas grill!

I will endlessly mock my neighbors for their gas grill.....but you have a gas stove inside already....

I love being outside and soaking up the sun, air and warm while its here.
I enjoy cooking outside on my gas grill even if its only to make a couple hot dogs.

My mistake was buying a huge grill. I could prob convert it into a spare bed for guests. 🤔

I will downsize when I replace it. We don't have guests much and I stopped eating Brontosaurus burgers for breakfast a while ago... turns out they are endangered or something.

Current grill is an Even Embers from Tractor Supply.
I bought this one over other brands because it still has a heavy lid where most other grill lids felt like they were made of tin.

It has served me well for a few years now.
I feel like it was a good buy.

I want to do the theory exam required for the driver's license, turns out I require my digital ID which I used during the pandemic last time. It expired. Now I logged in again, but to continue logging in I'll receive a letter from them when I'm on holiday💩

With Tractor Supply Company just 3min away, I was looking at that grill, but they were sold out at the time. Reviews did mention a heavy cover. Which appears to be rare these days, except on the very expensive lines.
Walmart still carries the same exact Expert Grill 4 burners model I own. Surprisingly, they've kept this model unchanged for nearly 10 years now! I bought mine about 3 years ago for about $140. It is now $225! 😮

I actually love the body...

But I love it for different reasons....if you flipped the wing around on the other end of the chassis...you have one mean looking buggy!

This is some super early stuff. Crap graphics, 1 button for speed throttle, and r/l to try and dodge things. It's terrible, and hilarious at the same time

If you are into vintage arcade, a trip to 'Funspot' at Weir's Beach in NH is a fun visit.

All good things must come to an end. Arriving home from the coast, about 15 minutes outside of town, and traffic went to hell. I swear we saw at least 10 near misses and a dozen other really stupid moves. I miss being away from people already. :(
