I will tell you all, that almost all of my pass'words' are in the US English dictionary.
I use 4 words. None of that 'one special character, one capital, one number ....... crap.

Even if I told you '4 English words' all lowercase, no numbers, no punctuation, no spaces, that would be
175,000 x 175,000 x 175,000 x 175,000 possible combinations.
=
937,890,625,000,000,000,000 combinations.

If you try 1,000 per second it will on average take 468,945,312,500,000,000 seconds. (Half of the total possible combinations.)

That would take
  • 130,262,586,805,555 hours
  • 14,870,158,311 years
One place I worked had such insane rules about pass'words' including change it every 2 weeks, that most of us wrote the pass'word' on a post-it note and stuck it to the monitor for everyone to see.

I'm shocked. Could have fun zapping people. 🫠
nah, as fun as that can be, it always seems to hurt me to. and i already shocked the crap out of myself. i sandblasted some fiberglass then blew it off with compressed air. when i went to put the blower down it grounded, sparked like a spark plug on steroids and sent a shock up through the blower into my hand that was not pleasant. felt it clear up into my elbo.

I get zapped so much with static at work that I don't even notice that much anymore. Sometimes you the good 1" blue arcs. My boss freaks out when he gets zapped. 🤣

Meanwhile we use to walk around yrs ago with sparker out of the cheap gas station click lighters ....... walking up to our friends and clicking them when they weren't looking lmao

I work in electrical substations and in the EHV (extremely high voltage) stations there is so much potential that we can get a 100+ volt measurement with our meters in mid-air. Every cabinet and piece of equipment I touch is ready to snap and bite if I'm not ready for it. Have to grab and touch cabs very deliberately without hesitation, otherwise an unpleasant discharge.

I was a pinspotter mechanic years ago and when I rolled up the bumper cushions after the kids were done bowling,
it would build up so much static electricity that a spark would arch an inch from the roller machine.
It would just about knock my on me arse. I hated it.

The materials I work with create a bunch of static, I have gotten used to just grounding myself or just touching the metal tables before I do anything. It is hilarious to watch the unsuspecting walk up to my table and get zapped. 🤣
