The entire USPS needs a hard reset. When I order things from China it takes 48 hours for them to process the order, get it to a port and have it hit the US. Then it takes 3-4 weeks to go from one end of the US to me.

Since this is the appropriate thread and I can rant, I'm going to. USPS employees in my area at least, are the laziest bunch of workers I've ever met. They don't even put in enough effort for minimum wage IMHO... All the people working inside at the 3 USPS locations near me should all be fired and replaced. Every single one of them. If it wasn't a federal job, none of them would even have a job. I'm sure management is too lazy to actually fire anyone actually, since that would require them to do their job. I wish more places would allow me to choose FedEx or UPS over USPS because I would every single time. Most of the time though it seems USPS is the only option which is unfortunate. I would actually hesitate to put USPS down on my resume if I worked there.

To be clear, I'm not upset because my packages take a few days extra to get delivered. I'm not a child and have patience. My issue is when I get a notification that my package couldn't be delivered because the mailbox is obstructed when I've been home all day, never saw a USPS truck and you could pull up a full size city bus in front of my mailbox with room to spare. They just didn't feel like doing that part of their route and lied. The best is when you actually try to mail something in the physical location... it's like watching a sloth move.

Anyways, rant over.
My delivery people here are actually REALLY good. And my local post office is pretty awesome. But I live in Indiana, and EVERYTHING I order USPS goes through Indy, and packages have been delayed by as much as a month there since Christmas.

I'm about the same. No crowds. I don't get anxious- just don't like people in my way. Can't stand Walmart. Never go there. Luckily there's a small hometown grocery store close & it's never crowded. I live alone & shopping is easy now that the kiddos are grown. Plus the little grocery store has local produce that's really good.
I get anxious too. Nice to have a small hometown grocery shop. I can't wait til farmers market opens again. Some weekends get crowded there, but something about it being outdoors helps and if I can I like to ride the bike there and back. :) until then, the hubby most often takes care of the grocery store, since he knows my patience is limited. 😆

The grocery store I go to provide baggers. I place my items on the belt according to the order I would like things to be put in.
A good bagger will get it and put things in accordingly, a dopey bagger will get me giving them bagging instructions, sometimes with a little education on why I don't want that 5lb bag of potatoes on top of my berries, grapes, and/or bread 🙄
I try and load the groceries so cold, bagged stuff, boxed, cans, vegs, bread etc all go together. If the bagger is so dumb that they crush my eggs with 8 lbs of soup, I WILL be back.
Usually there is no drama but I think there are enough ppl like me, ppl who WILL come back to bitch, that the managers and baggers actually TRY. They usually do a good job. 😍
Omg

They can never get their mind straight. Changed it again? 2 date changes are my limit. I'm calling the police on this. Not acceptable at all. Disappointing actually. 🤣🤣🤷🤦

Wouldn't had been like this if DC didn't take 2 whole days to process the thing.

And yea when they say alert for different areas it's actually the whole nation so. Even more false Advertisement! This should go to court.

I want my motors 😭😭
Did you find your bike tire pump yet?
Like I said... It was a whole week in that post office before my check left. 🥺

I used to LOVE 24 hour Walmarts, groceries!!!
3 am grocery shopping was GREAT!!! Only thing in the isles were the ppl stocking shelves! 😍❤️
Shopping after a night out lead to some interesting grocery choices too! 🤣

I bet. I've not done a midnight wally world run. Ours use to be a 24 hr store, now i think it closes at 11, honestly not sure. The little hometown grocery store, I usually go after work on Fridays. I get off at 11am & it's not very many people there. Saturday mornings it's pretty packed. I like going on Friday the produce is fresh & been put out that morning

I'm pretty positive they stopped the 24 hour thing a while back.
Now they only keep the lights on for 6 hours a day and the store is STUFFED with ppl.
Huge pallates getting put on the shelves in the isles.. shopping cart traffic cops and signal lights sponcered by Kelloggs will be next!
It went from perfect shopping to 'never want to shop again' !!! ☹️
I think our 'convenient" stores are only open from 6-1! Makes me wonder what exactly qualifies them as "convenient" at that point or how to justify spending an extra $3 for a mirco size ice cream or loaf of bread. 🤣
$4 bottles of Gatorade are NOT convenient! 🤣
My move now is to be at the store about 3 mins before it opens. 🤣

Yesterday Mrs Doom forgot to tell me we were going to dinner fo her sisters 60th birthday. So yay, I don't care for her husband, he is an obnoxious 14 year old trapped in an old mans body. They picked Cheesecake factory (not one of my favorite places). 6:00 on a Saturday night is not the time to go there.

We arrive, took us 10 minutes to park, had to drive half way across the mall to find a space. Took another five minutes to walk across the busy parking lot which was complete chaos.
Finally see them and of course her sister is an attention whore, so she is wearing a birthday cake hat so she could get as much attention as possible. We got there and she said they just put their names in and it would be a 40 minute wait. We got seated an hour and 10 minutes later.

Finally got to order, 15 minutes after we ordered the waitress came back and told me they didn't have what I ordered, so I picked a burger. When the food arrived, sister in laws was cold, mrs. Doom's was luke warm, brother in laws order wasn't right and mine wasn't right. Mrs. Doom ordered garlic sea cockroaches. It came with a big pile of dry pasta no sauce at all and four small shrimp with a little sauce on them, and some asparagus that was buried under the pasta.
The place was so loud you couldn't have a conversation without raising your voice to an uncomfortable level. Not a fan of crowds but it was rediculous, felt like Disneyland on grad night.

Overall it was an expensive irritating evening. Didn't even grab any cheesecake we were just ready to get out of there. For the inlaws, they acted like it was just another night out. Mrs. Doom and I usually go to dinner early when we go out and never have to put up with the crowds, and rearely get bad service, so it was kind of a shock to the system.

Would have been a good time to remember your childhood and fake a sickness for just enough time to miss the event.

Whiner!

:hehe:

Sounds like a bad time to me. I'm that guy who refuses to wait around at any restaurant just to be seated. There are simply too many good places to chose from.

If it had just been Mrs. Doom and I, we would not have waited, then again we never would have gone at rush hour either.

Mrs. Doom knew I didn't wat to go, but I was on my best behavior, when we got home she started complaining which made me laugh. 🤣
Sorry about your bad time. When the place is that loud, I get uncomfortable to the point that I CAN'T eat. I don't like ppl, don't like crouds, malls... 🤯😵‍💫😵
We are spoiled here to be near the coast and have tons of fresh seafood, farms nearby... good food is still around. ❤️😎

my rant is a 2fer
first is that i still dont recieve @ notifications, been like 5 months is annoyingly old to scroll thru a post and see I've been tagged, makes me feel like a jerk for not respinding,,
rant 2 is these gd crystal methodists running the streets getting more freedoms than my butt. they get away with so much and costs other people so much. its frustrating to watch someone you love get eaten alive by a drug and to be helpless to prevent it.
effing druggas man effin druggas

running the injection molder today. normally don't really mind it. but today i have to shoot what is probably our worst designed mold. 8 pieces that like to blow apart if you so much as think your injection timing was to long. this is probably going to take me all week. so yeah, i got that going for me.

I do that on the regular! I do miss going to elementary school at 9:30 and getting out at 1:30 - 2:00. Then I could screw around outside. I graduated elementary during COVID. They gave us t-shirts saying "I graduated (My School) Virtually!"

9:30! was that cause of the rona thing and online learing? cause I'm over like damn i think my elementary school started at 8:50 or some crap like that. I'm like missing the last 5 minutes of Mighty Max cause i have to leave for school, try to get some kickball in before class actually started.
i don't remember what time we got out, roughly 2:30.
