Asbestos-lite. Like diet asbestos. 😉

😲🤬 And I've been calling it a SNIFFER clutch for all these years!!!
is this where snorting lines off a lady of the night ( i made that pg lol ) came from ?????????

Hmm... just for conversation, how much do you suppose my never used, asbestos filled, slipper pads will be worth in 5 years when you can't find them anywhere?
🤪
Muwhahhahaha!

My head now filled with visions of meeting a shady dude near the train station. Hes wear8ng a trench coat stuffed with watches and phones and tiny Traxxas baggies filled with the finest Traxx-ash money can buy...
Hey... hey buddy.. you wanna buy some slipper??? 🤣

hey what i do with my slipper clutch is my business o_O, but i am glad to know as a few have stated that its in too small an amount to actually be harmful, ill double down on your statement by admitting that my cigerette smoke is most likely way more harmful, but its a choice i made and the asbetos feels snuck in on me
It's funny because a few years back when Arrma went through a similar recall on their gaskets and I want to say their slipper clutches as well... everyone had a completely different tune about it. They said the EU was over reaching, it's not that bad, etc. Didn't get nearly the same amount of traction this has either. People also weren't sending messages to HH about it like they are to Traxxas complaining and demanding a US recall as well. They were totally okay with it. But now that it is Traxxas, oh man... everyone grab your pitchforks.

The Traxxas witch hunt every time they do anything is really getting old to listen to. This thread hasn't been particularly bad, it's been pretty civil actually, but the Arrma forum and a whole bunch of YouTubers are absolutely parroting a bunch of nonsense about this whole thing. Don't even get me started on Reddit... I dislike Traxxas business practices as much as the next guy, but I think we can all agree that HH buying up the competition (they pretty much have a monopoly and own most of the major brands) isn't much better of a business practice.

Hating on Traxxas for poopy business practices and then giving your business to another company that also engages in questionable business practices is hypocritical at best. They're all mega corporations who are trying to sue and drive each other out of business one way or another. None of these are mom and pop companies anymore. There is little to no point in letting it consume your life, they both make some good cars and they both make some really really bad cars. Just buy what ya like, there's little reason for a bunch of grown men to justify their toy car purchases by putting themselves on a moral pedestal. Besides, according to California, everything our RC's are made of will cause cancer. Silica exposure with these things is WAY bigger of an issue, but you don't see people wearing n95 masks while they drive their cars in a dusty field.

I'm pretty much done with both of them. I don't care what product a company makes... inviting companies like google to MY hobby is NEVER going to happen.
NOT A SINGLE DIME to support THAT... EVER.
You're right, they ARE all big companies. And they push us like they think they can.
Bitch and moan ALL you want...
Companies can't hear you. They hear dollars and cents...
I SPEAK WITH MY WALLET. 😉🤑

If Traxxas wasn't such a sue happy, way over the top company, I doubt they'd be getting this much backlash. Zero sympathy for them.
I doubt you'd sell many masks at the track but I bet 'Screw Traxxas' shirts would sell ok.
We were going to throw a fundraiser for Traxxas at my local hobby shop but Traxxas put them out of business just before the covid scam. 😐
Mine is no moral pedistal... Traxxas screwed me and my ftiends so screw Traxxas right back... end of story.
Its that much worse because they DO make some good cars and I WAS a fan.
There ARE other companies out there!
Find the ones you like and use them.
HH and Traxxas WANT you to believe they are the only choices. Millions spent on advertising... makes me look even harder for the gems they can't buy out or sue to get them out of the way.
I hope this gets back to being about an r/c and a driver and none of this other crap but the wolves are on the hunt and I'm not letting them have even a tiny taste of me ever again.
THIS is the environment THEY create.
THEY made it about profit and greed... I never sued anyone. 🤣
I want NOTHING to do with any of it and I won't support either company financially.
I have enough vintage rc to keep me quite happy either way.

I buy whatever catches my attention. I don't care about what is offensive, I just wanna have fun. 😛

We should spend more effort on educating people than banning everything that might be harmful. C'mon, most of us survived the monkey bars and scorching hot metal slides at recess, now they just have plastic monstrosities in playgrounds but complain about plastic containers.
