Another day of hanging out and helping around the house for another round of open house tomorrow and Sunday. My E-Revo got delayed in shipping today but hopefully it'll get back on track soon i was also doing some more research on making the old E-Revo more durable just in case i have issues.

I heard good reviews about this brand. I plan on using some parts for my 1/16. Good luck on your bullet proofing.

Thanks, I've heard of them before i used to have a servo horn for my Slash 4x4 from them but i don't know where it went since we're in the middle of our Tucson move. Also everything else is still on the way to me the truck might get here a little later but that's okay.

Thanks for sharing, sometimes it's good to get out and catch something like this before they are all gone. :thumbs-up:

There's not many of the original 25 of them left. I think there are eight remaining, all in museums except 4014 being the only one running the rails. There was talk of getting the one at Steamtown USA in Vermont Pennsylvania running again but there is uncertainty whether or not the local tracks could handle its immense weight.

Railroading has a special allure for some folks and I was surprised at the amount of emotion shown by the people when it came through. The crowd was excited, cheering and shouting. Some folks were following it from stop to stop and state to state! I have to admit, it did give me tingles when it rolled in...

I'm not a big rail fan, but my grandfather worked as a Delaware and Hudson Railroad section leader (and was killed in a railroad accident when my dad was just a teenager) and a favorite uncle retired as an engineer for that railroad here in upstate NY. My tiny home town was a railroad town, with a big maintenance shop and turntable. There was a large rail yard outside of town and a lot of locals were employed by the D&H. My childhood best friend's parents, across the street, and the family next door, ran "guest houses" that provided lodging for traveling railroad workers. I can remember of at least three of such places in town.

Edit for correction: Steamtown is in PA, not VT.

Worked today and then avoided work...just a little bit. Made my daughter a shirt, Mario Cat Toad from Bowser's Fury (which she's currently playing). She was so excited for it 😊.
Also shortened the length on a shirt I recently bought, worked perfectly. Fits much better not that it's 5" shorter.

Took the day off to get the house ready for my daughter's college grad party tomorrow. It was hot and a bit muggy out there today, so outdoor tasks were quite a chore.

I'm not really a train buff either, but there is a lot of heritage there, and you can't help but appreciate something that massive. Trains are just cool. :thumbs-up:

Well the MRI should be quick, I mean how big can a frogs brain be? 🤔 Now the Carl's Jr. May also be over fast because those frog tongues are wicked quick. 😜🤣

I just helped my dad get our freshly painted upstairs doors upstairs and now i'm relaxing i was looking up Team Corally stuff and found out they have now a US webstore and site. So maybe someday i'll consider buying a Team Corally vehicle like a Kagama or something.

In reality the brain scan will take an hour. In my frog world, I'll just hop my way through it.
They might even see my evil thoughts and hang out there for awhile. :D

I hope it's easy hopping and you get to keep your evil thoughts a secret. No one needs to have their evil thoughts disclosed!

My Mom, Sister, two Neices, and Grand Niece all had a girls lunch out at a local mexican restaurant today, so I went to lunch with my Dad at a local diner for burgers.

It was hilarious, we started to order and I don't remember who said what but the guy taking our order said wait, that's your dad? I thought you were brothers. I replied, I must look pretty old, and the he said no, your dad looks young. They asked him how old he was, he replied 81, and their jaws dropped. They didn't believe him.

Then I said I have that problem too, and they guessed my age at 45 or so, I told them I was 61 and they about died. When we got home my Dad said, wait your 62, I was like what, then did the math, duh! I guess with all that has happened lately, I kind of forgot a year somewhere. 🤣

It was a good day, the girls had a nice lunch, and we had a good laugh. :)

Daughter's grad party was a success! We had warm but dry weather. Key being not too high of a humidity and with a slight breeze. Everyone appeared to have a good time.

My mom has always looked younger than her age.
My wife and I are the same age, but she looks younger than me.
Occasionally I will be mistaken for my mom's husband or my wife's dad.
Creepy!
