yesterday and today there was dew on my truck when i left for work at 7:20. like wtf that shouldn't be a thing until mid/late November.

It started the same around here not long ago. Causing issues with the green house.

I never used it... is it safe for flowering plants?

So far, only 1 real casualty. I'm not surprised. The weather has sucked fir outdoor plants.

In the GH, the extra fan is keeping up with the moisture.

Early mornings, the whole yard is wet like it just rained out.

Yes it's safe. It's better to use it before a problem. But if it's not out of control it should work too.
