Summer in Las Vegas... At night the ground would radiate heat back at you long after the sun went down!
No mercy at all!!! 🥵
I'm guessing just asphalt and concrete, yes? Does the natural substrates retain the heat just as much as the man made stuff?

Its been a few years but if I recall, it was pretty much everything. (except maybe the cactus 🤣) I think some things cooled faster than others but the streets and sidewalks were hot for hours past sundown.
The summers there were crazy! Like walking around in an oven on 'low'. 🥵

Our weather man is very accurate and quite comical. I could hang out with this guy. :D

Good mernin and happy Tuesday, you precious little chicken nuggets!

As I’ve been saying — this week is looking pretty damn good through Saturday. 🙌🏼

A weak trough will swing through midweek, bringing some scattered clouds and maybe a little blowy wind (especially Wednesday and Thursday). But precipitation chances? Bleak. Even for the mountains. If that changes, you know I’ll holler.

🔥 The Heat Returns

• Sunday: We start cranking the thermostat again — mid 90s
• Monday: Back in gross boob-death territory 🥵

But hey — it’s not record heat, and it’s nothing we haven’t already sweated through before. We’ll survive. Just maybe don’t wear leather.

🌩️ Storms next week?

I’m seeing signs that thunderstorm chances creep back in next week. I’ll be watching model trends closely to see how this pattern evolves — and you know I’ll keep you posted once I’ve got a better read.

🎆 Way-Too-Early Fourth of July forecast:
• Hot.
• 90s.
• Scattered afternoon storms.

Shocking, I know. But I’ll refine it as we get closer.

Keep checking in — I’ll do the nerdy weather stuff so you don’t have to. 😎🌡️🌩️

#ProTip – if you’re ever attacked by a group of clowns……
….. go for the juggler. 😅😅😅😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣

I’ll throw myself out k great thanks bye.

I don't ever recall seeing temps this high with this much rain in the forcast. Which is likely why every one of them are thunderstorms and not just rain. Kinda scary considering how this much heat is going to interact with a storm. I'm a tad worried, but I haven't looked at the predictions for these upcoming storms yet.

Are each of you from southern Texas or are temperatures usually that high in the US?? After doing all fahrenheit to celsius translations, I'm afraid I would in fact melt at 100°F.
Low 80s are when I stop coming out of my room lol. I keep it at 60°F

It's all over from the midwest to the eastern states.

That map looks like the evil eyes of the devil scorching the land before judgememt day! 🤣
It's all the magma under Yellowstone getting ready to launch the US into space when it explodes 😉
