How's the weather been?

I sure hope so, lots of thunder right now and the fire department just took off on the crane creek fire,
so home the lighting doesn't start a bunch more.
The Durkee fire that is close to us is now the largest fire in the US right now.

Another lightning fire reported on top of Midvale hill. I drove up there this morning.
I hope you guys aren't sick of hearing this.

Man that's terrible Doom.
This is a welcoming site. Thanks David.

We are getting hit pretty hard again right now.

Glad you got it when you did, it has to help with air quality if nothing else. :thumbs-up: See what happens when you get your truck washed? 🤣

Love that kinda rain. Hopefully it puts the fires out. But your forecast is looking a lot like Doom's for the next week or so. Sunny, hot, and zero precipitation.

Yeah, this is crazy weather. It's still coming down hard. I see their reasoning on the flash floods.

This will definitely help the fire situation and it's amazing how clean the air smells now.
I was listening to the scanner earlier and they said the first wind that came through on top of Midvale hill, it's 100% visibility.

Well, we all know what frogs do when it rains...

Well man, does the fire maps look any better?

Awesome!

I was in the Pasadena area way back in 1994 when they had fires break out in the foothills to the north, the smoke was bad there, and I can't imagine having health issues and dealing with it.

The storm cleared the smoke a little bit but the rain wasn't any help.
I bet the ground is so dry it just absorbed it. Was there any flooding?

No news that I've seen yet. So I'm guessing with your statement of being so dry, that it soaked it up in no time and didn't run at all.
The Blue Mountains is where we didn't want it to go but looks like there is one starting to eat up some acres.
Thick timber in the Blue Mountains.
Regardless, between the fires, smoke, closed areas, and now a Algie bloom, my fishing is over for the year.
Crappie fishing in the fall really good so I may go out towards the end of Sept.
