I just did this a year ago to my 2002 T-Maxx v1.
The reason I chose to do this was, I have owned the car since it was new, I had loads of spare parts, very little hours on the chassi and had been out of the hobby for almost two decades and was looking for a reason to get back in.
It was a fun project but I would not do it again because the motor mounts are becoming hard to find. the other reason is, for the money I spent on this project, I could have bought a brand new car.

2021/Dec - Conversion started

I probably have 10-20 hours in it If I remember correctly.
Here is what you can expect when done.
It is not as fast as some of the newer cars out there but a fun little basher.
Do some searches research before you decide to jump into this. It will not be cheap. You can save some money if you buy used parts.
Everything you will need to know you can find as lots of people have done this. There are even some full conversion videos out there.
If you decide to do it, have fun.

I did one last year, and it is fun, but tends to eat gears if you go more than 3S on power.

I found a generic motor mount and battery tray on Amazon. Spektrum ESC/Motor from Jennys RC.
