Thought I would start a thread documenting my Typhon conversion project to turn a typhon 6S into a Senton 6S .

Bases of the build is a new Arrma Typhon 6S

I am essentially following this guy's YouTube build process.

Parts list I have so far found and now have on order.
To date $294.00 for the list seen below,
note their is an extra clear body for $80 that I did not really need for the build, but wanted to get it while I still could as it seems many of these parts are discontinued.

Arrma Senton 6S BLX Composite Rear Bumper Set [ARA320275]
$15

ARRMA AR406144 SENTON 6S BLX Painted Body Black/Green ARAC3409 Car/Truck Bodies
$85

NEW Arrma AR550003 Dboots Sidewinder 2 6S Glued BLK 2pcs
$25 each
X2 packs

ROLL CAGE TOP
ARRMA #AR320320
$13

CENTER ROLL CAGE SET COMPOSITE
ARRMA #AR320273
$11

ARRMA AR406132 SENTON 6S Rear Wing Clear ARAC9607 Elec Car/Truck Replacement
$15

ARAC3408 Clear body
$80

Part #AR402169 body and wing accessory pack
$25

Ok this should be the list
That we were able to order from Horizon.

I am still left trying to find a few discontinued parts like the body mounts.

Did some screen cap zoom work with that build video to finally find the body mount numbers seen in the pic and above.
It is a discontinued part so not sure what it will take to find these.

So far the body mounts are proving a bit of challenge.
Anyone have any ideas?

Was thinking maybe a proline kit or possibly one of those magnet kits?
This is what that Arma kit looks like. Based on that video even these parts will need some minor mortifications to fit the Typhon's shock towers.

I am not seeing much in aftermarket stuff that can tie into these shock towers.

The only pro-line kit I found is nothing like the body mounts shown by Arrma.
I have an idea of possibilities to modify the Typhon rear mounts to accept these Pro-Line rear mounts.
The front there is just nothing up there that I am seeing to secure the aftermarket brackets to.

Never ordered from Walmart.com before.
But for some reason they showed to have the cage top and the body mounts.
So, if that order holds, I should have what I need sourced. I hope anyway.
Looks like they sourced the items from Zone hobby's

I've used those Proline modular body posts. They work, just a little flexy if you get the uprights really tall. Other than that, they are fine. The mounts could be used for posts. Might have to find aluminum posts or other sturdy posts, if one set is really up tall.

The Typhon 6s arrived today.
Along with the mudd guards all the way from the UK, very impressive on that delivery time on those mud guards.
