i just rebuilt my lst i have throttle but no brake ,,,i push the trigger forward and nothing i pull it back and of course throttle .....what have i done ..i un hooked it from carb so its free to go either way but nothing..:\
I have a fairly stock XXL. The only things on this that arent stock are the steering servos (total of 488oz/in), I have LST2 shocks on it, RPM front arms, and most recently I put a wing on the back. some of these mods were done after these picks not not all are reflected.
I also have an LST2 Electric conversion which has very little stock stuff on it.
yes I did although I've changed some things on it since I did it. I mounted the battery tray in the front and I'm gonna replace the losi motor mount with The Dude Racing motor mount. Losi single speed conversion is fine but their electric conversion kit is terrible. Just buy a Tekno Battery tray and TDR mount IMO. I've added more hop ups since I first built it when i took these pictures. I have RPM arms all the way around with Lunsford Turnbuckles and I replaced the aluminum RPM camber rods with Lunsfords, I've put red GPM aluminum shock towers on it, and I have red aluminum chassis brace and bellcrank to install eventually. I've hopped it up quite a bit but she aint as purdy as she once was since I've bashed the snot out of it lol. Next thing I want to upgrade are the steering servos. I wanna put 2 Savox 500oz/in servos in it eventually lol
Do you remember about how much it cost to convert it? Like motor/esc, the kit ect, I'm talking just to get it converted and running. I'm thinking about the Tekin system..
The Tekin Combo was $325ish, I'm a Tekin freak but its really an overkill system in a MT. If I was looking to save some coins Id buy a Castle MMM and 2200kv off of ebay. You can get em parted out for about $250ish or so. TDR motor mount is $70 and a Tekno battery tray is like $15 bucks. The losi conversion kit was $80 but like I said it sucks. Losi does have the cheapest single speed conversion which is like $20 or $25. TDR single speed is $35. Thats all your really have to have to do the conversion.
The TDR single speed conversion is probably a better adapter but the Losi one has worked just fine for me so far so its kinda up to you which way you go on that part.
Hey guys, new to the site and new to the lst platform.. i have read every page of this thread so far, and i like what i see.. i just picked up a slightly used losi lst2 and thought id share what i have as well.. i like the truck alot by looking at it and all, havent yet driven it as I'm still going through everything.. the truck hasnt been run much at all.. its clean, but i wanted to make sure its good to go when i run it so i have takin the one way bearing out of the spin start assembly to service it. the truck seems to maybe have sat for a while.. i know these trucks arent new and they have been out a while, but this thing is so clean and in such good shape there is no way this thing was run regularly. so far from what i can see, it has the sway bars, rear wing kit, and a forward only conversion transmission. i was wondering if anyone can tell me anything else i should do before i run it? should i seal the engine?
here are some pics of the truck i just picked up.. i traded it for a revo 3.3 i had.. The revo was nice too but i wanted a 1/8 scale beast..
basher body
this is what the piston looked like when i pulled the head off.. does this look decent?
