I ordered some parts from my LHS no problem.

Ok cool. I think I'm gonna order up some blue aluminum shock bodies. What website do you guys use to order your lst2 or xxl parts stock and aftermarket? I've found that overdriverc.com, amainhobbies and rcboca has some good stuff. Are there any others?
After market parts are becoming scarce. Ebay and Asiatees are about the only 2 decent sources for aftermarket. ebay is a great source for stock parts as well.

The only parts that arent compatible between lst2 and xxl are:

center drive shafts
Chassis rails
Center chassis plate (upper and lower plates are the same)
Body

The only other difference I can think of but are still compatible.
The went from using the Dynamite Mach 427 to the Losi 454
No high/low gear selector on the transmission
went from FM TX/RX to 2.4GHZ
Added telemetry (I dont run the telemetry on either of my kits but it looks like it would be compatible)
changed from aluminum body shocks to plastic body

Thats all I can think of atm.

I thought the XXL had different gearing in the trans and/or the diffs as well.

I just picked up a pair of Aftershocks. Both need a little bit of love, but that's half the fun for me.

This one is mostly running, and is partially upgraded to LST2 spec.

This one I just picked up and needs a little more work, missing a throttle servo, motor mount and clutch needs to be replaced, but the engine has good pinch.

Good score! If they aren't already, I would suggest upgrading to the lst2 a-arms and hub carriers. They are much stronger and eliminate the rear toe links.

They were a good score, the one I traded a 2wd electric Slash for, the second one I picked up for $100. :)

I have the upgraded LST2 a-arms and hub carriers for the one, just need to put them on. Now that I've got my Revo and Slayer running, these are next on my list to fix up and make bash worthy.

I have one as well. Hard to break, ridiculously easy to fix.

I have an LST2 and an XXL. I used to have 15 cars, trucks and buggies from 1/8 to 1/16 all nitro, when I was laid off my collection had to be sacrificed to pay bills and support my family, I must say it took me 6 months just to put a dent in it. After I found a new job my wife bought me a brand spankin new Lst XXL. I acquired my LST2 from a trade of two electric trucks(emaxx and stadium truck). It has Carbon fiber chassis, forward only set up as well as the original alloy shocks.I have had more fun with these two trucks than all of the others combined. But at any rate I regained some of my toys and this forum is great.

I owned LST's for a while now, and I must say its one tough truck. Here's my favourite bashing spot just out of town.
The black truck is my friends Savage Flux and the ramp is used for freestyle dirt bike jumping. Just some of the abuse I put my trucks through.

White hummer-Savage Flux, black truck-Savage Flux, stock MGT 8.0 and my LST2 with no body.
My truck made it up the hill no problem first try and had to retrieve it. So I stayed up there wondering if a electric could ever make it....:p:
At 6:55 on the video, I cleared the camera man.....by accident of course
