[ Edit: O.K., see you have a 2s x 5000 2S2P already in it. Yeah, its a 2S2P 120C 7.6v track for sure. Good choice on battery capacity. ]
Yea those shorty packs, CNHL ones, beast for the buggies. Been running these for 2 years now.

I'm glad they took out the middle double, looks like it flows better than before. You sure got your monies worth out of those buggy tires.

Club race day up at FSH. Only raced the 2wd bug. Did pretty well. Car is dialed. Driving is somewhat dialed lol. The car feels better with the new hobbywing motor than the old fantom one that quit so that's nice. 3 qualifiers and 1 main with 2 racers allowed for 1 bump.

Not gonna go through much here since it was a chill laid back day. Wasn't really looking for great stats. I did get faster throughout the day with getting used to 2wd still as this is my 1st race with the new servo, motor, body, tires, ect.
Q1: Started 3rd, went to 7th, oof. 18.2 fast lap. Averages are around 20.
Q2: Stayed in 7th. 18.3 fast lap. Averages around 21. (Maybe my driving/focus got worse?)
Q3: Started 1st, went to 5th right behind @hood52 .
C Main: Started 6th, managed to get up to 4th. 17.9 fast lap. Averages around 19.8s. Now we talking! And its also funny that I crossed the line with @hood52 just .92 seconds behind him lol.

Overall great race day with @BarnFabRC and @hood52 and the FSH regulars. Going to continue some indoors and maybe some outdoors sooner or later when I get this typhon project running.

Also had some practice in between rounds and after with the freshly rebuilt 4wd, and the mini b. The B74 sounded louder than normal, maybe its just me. Or it could be bc I have no diff shims out front and maybe some gear noise. Or maybe I need to reset my pinion/spur mesh. Mini B did fantastic and some people liked it. Race director for practice said, watch out, we got a mini buggy on here with some serious horsepower. Lol.

I was on a roll in Q2 today!

Racing at FSH today with @hood52 . Only 2 rounds of qualifying on a new layout with 14 drivers so the day went pretty quick
Decided to pick up racing 4wd after Q1 so yea.
Overall, new layout, pretty fun and flowy:

Here is the main results from today. 4wd was a bit rough in the start but half way through I decided to regroup and focus.

17.2s fastest with the 4wd and 17.6s fastest with the 2wd. Not that bad. Even though I feel like my 2wd is faster sometimes?

First time RC outing in May. Not really racing but just for fun and practice. First time at a outdoor and bigger 1/8 track and first time driving around some 1/8 4s cars. Mostly my buddies TLR tuned Typhon, and tekno EB and ET, although older models. @Littlemotor listen to this. TLR Typhon, 4278 Truggy HW Max8 sensored. He told me to turn down the power. (I didn't lol). Blown the rear diff. Oof. Lol. No worries 25ish bucks on Jenny's RC most likely.
ET was very plush and I loved it although it took some laps getting used to it so I'm not hitting the lane pipes lol. Since truggies are huge.
EB, although stiff suspension (stiff springs most likely) it was going very well. Although it did have an issue where the front left CVA popped out of the outdrive. Most likely since it's too short. And binding when the suspension is compressed.
Drove the slash, pro4 sc10 and rusty for 1 pack each. Those did pretty well too although 2wd a bit tough but did get the hang of it. Now time to work on my Typhon 6s, well 4s build.

CNHL G+ lipos. Best lipos for 4s for the price imo. (@Greywolf74)

Now getting ready for next weekend with @luke66 at the indoor dirt track.

Good thing I brought the beach cart since its a pretty big property lol.

huh i thought you were allergic to dirt :stick:
In modern days dirt is mainly only for 8th scale. Most of the time
I still.dont have the money to do so but I'll just be a higher tier of broke then. Lol.

I did do a race day on 5/18 but posted in a new thread view here:

Club race today at the clay track per usual. Only 9 drivers, 2 heats of 4wd and 1 heat for 2wd buggies. Yea, summer/outdoor season is in full swing so we just have barely enough 2wd/4wd buggies, not enough other classes to run others.
Learned some stuff and sort of fixed my Reflex 14T when I was there. Helped a guy fix up his slash by lending over my tools and rebuilding his transmission with new parts, I stayed there overtime, always welcoming new people. Had some crashes and some issues but overall fun relaxed day.

2wd:
Went out for practice, local guy said to tighten up my slipper a 1/4 turn and raise my rear ride height. Ideally 15-17mm was the gold spot here. Did exactly that and holy did it do so much. Could clear jumps with it and have more control. The slicks with reconditioning these old ancient rotted out tires did the trick, early in the morning atleast. Once a new round started I quickly re-sauced them so it didn't wear off by my heat came about. Had some slight sliding out issues but not as crazy as i was running those old ProLine Primes MCs the other time I raced it here so my stats have improved in 2wd. I believe right after the race ended in Q2 my rear shock cap pulled off the standoff. Put 2 small washers there and then the nut back on, should not come back off again.
Q1 moved from 5th to 4th. Fast lap of 19. Q2 Stayed 4th, fast lap of 18.7. Avg of 22.1. Q3 Moved back down to 5th, fast lap of 19.2, avg of 22.3. A Main: Stayed 5th, fast lap of 19.5, avg of 22.5. Probably got worse as I was sliding around more, plus crashing more. Q2 was my best stats wise.

4wd:
Dealing with the new servo here as I did the servo swap between buggies. First off in the morning I felt like it was twitchy but throughout the day I got used to that servo speed even at 6v so it got less twichy for me to drive, without turning down my Dual Rate, although I did mess with turn and return settings a bit. One of the front hub bearings had play, either donezo bearing or the hub got warpped, had that issue a few times but still ran it without working on it all day. In the main my front tires got ripped up soooo badly i just kept running. You could hear the rubber flapping against the dirt when driving lol. Did a practice session after with the big hole in the tire, did not notice any difference, LOL.
Q1, 2nd, fast lap of 18.1, avg of 20.1. Q2: started 3rd moved to 2nd, fast of 17.8, avg of 20.1. Q3: still stayed 2nd. Fast of 17.7, avg of 20.0. A Main: Stayed 3rd. fast of 17.8, avg of 19.9.

Ran the Mini B/Pro4/Slash/Rustler all in between for practice as we took like an hr break in between for lunch. Not many drivers, less racing, makes sense, ie more chilled back race day.

My buddy on the other hand had some issues. His B64D rear shock shaft came undone, he swapped shocks from his spare car. And his motor overheated from running back to back mains as he had a bump up. His 22 5.0 his sensor wire popped out mid race causing it to feel sluggish and slow. But overall fun track day. Also got some parts for the 6s Typhon, update on that soon, and I got another set of 1/8 buggy tires, more for bashing and 2 batteries so I will be all set with the typhon once i get it running!

While helping out my guy fix his slash no one was running and everyone has left so I took 3 minutes to do a dedicated Track Walk for everyone so here ya go!

Next time I'm there maybe ill still run these set of chewed up fronts with the big chunk of rubber missing! Lol.
I got 2 extra pairs of 4wd front slicks. should last me the season. And 1 extra pair of rears now.
I'm between getting old smoothie 2 silvers, or trying out new Smoothie 3 blues, or a new brand to me, TZO Gray compound slicks. So far got 2 guys running them at the track and they seem to love those tires so I must try them out right? I do bet 100 percent if I do get them I would have way more better results in 2wd for sure.
SCT/Truck/Mini I don't race often, more so for just practice, so I just buy a set of slicks for them and even carpet tires and have them last me years.

Not a race day but a laid back practice day with some big oof's after a frustrating drive up to FSH. Not because it was long, my normal drive but with like almost 45minute backup due to a crash on 95. And I have chosen, yep not doing carpet till the winter till traffic chills out saturday mornings are just awful going north around me. South to the clay track is all good though and I plan to do that and some backyard track RCing for the rest of summer, although can't do anything but bash at home for the month of July since I'm busy, schedules and vacation.

Brought 4 of the cars. Normal 2 buggies, Mini B and Reflex.

B74: Was a champ today and actually hit a NEW Personal Fast Lap of 16.9 today! Last time I was here in April on the same layout my fast was the occasional 17.2s Although I still have that front wheel hub inner bearing shot I still ran it anyways lol.

22: My fastest lap today with that was a 17.8 compared to April was a 17.5 so not my greatest there but it's all good. Did a big oof and hit the pole of death while coming out of the sweeper into the double. Broke the front arm. Funny thing another guy with a XB4 not even 30 minutes later did the same thing. I blame the layout. But also partially driver stand standing location that always have some factor into it too. Shop didn't have it in stock so ill order it online. All good bc I won't be driving these for a month.

Mini B: Time for some new tires and some new parts. Tires especially the PL front Wedges, aren't cutting it for CRC carpet. On office carpet and EOS they did extremely well, although my pair/set is over 3 years old they still look like brand new... When I turn you see the wheels turn but not the car until you slow down sooo yea. Set of newer Fuzz Bites coming along for this one, depending on funds. Also rear shock eyelet/piviot ball at the arm, keeps popping out. These were the 1st pair of upgrade rear shocks that I put on the car a long time back. If Losi sells replacement eyelets and balls ill get it but if not just new rear shocks. Losi aluminum ones are only around 22 bucks anyways. Can't hurt, although the TLR tuned ones do have updated o rings I believe and a bleeder screw. But, not racing the car unless the class comes back so I don't see any reason why to get the tires right now.

Reflex: First time on carpet, drove for about 5 minutes and to test out the King Val esc from the Mini B i put in it. Really didn't notice any difference might have to test at home to really go through multiple packs. And... the esc tray/mount broke so theres that. It was partially broken off before anyways so. The stock tires are about 45 percent worn down from new and they are pretty grippy and tons of traction rolling lol. Also my servo trim was messed up badly might have to recenter the servo. Truck hasn't been running for like 3 months so kinda figured it needed something else done.
Also got some hardware for the typhon build.

Also saw the new traxxas 2wd funco buggy. Thing is huge.

There's ONE pole in the HOLE BUILDING... and YOU hit it!!! 🙄🤣

Congrats on your new best!!! 👍
Your traffic sounds like my traffic. It must just be 95 all over is like that! 🤣 I plan to hit my local track at WAY off hours since its 24 hr access. 😎
Racing is slowed for summer here too.
More time for me to practice... if I ever finish my builds. 🤷‍♀️

You could ride that Funco buggy to the track you know??? 😎
You might need a ladder to get in it tho! 🤣

Yes
Don't get me started on the tunnels during rush hour. Since then they took down my bridge.
Best time to drive is at night and early early morning. No matter what.

Yea a semi local although up in the mountains, 997 they have a 300 dollar I think yearly membership and you get 24 hr access. Pretty cool but expensive and especially that I only been there once since it's 2hrs away from me lol. Cool to have a track like that but I don't 🫤

You need to remember, 997 is where I bought my Xray steering blocks... LUXURY ISN'T CHEAP!!! 🤣

Ours is monthly, a bit more expensive tho.

2 hours is a haul. 4 hours round trip to race for maybe 30 mins is a lot!!! ESP SUX if you break once you get there!
My track (during vaca season) commute will be similar in time, though distance isn't very far. 😐

Cool, I hope to get to my carpet track one or a few more times before we pack up and move to Tucson. I was thinking about building a new buggy for one of the tracks that is in Chandler, AZ called Hobby Action RC i was thinking about either a new 22X or 22X-4 Elite.
