Good stuff. The losi Nascar current model is modern drivers I don't know, on a losi branded awd that is meant to compete with tt02. I just can't
I get that. I would like to see something like a semi spec class. Like with vintage racing that has been mentioned. Limit people to an electronic esc no more than 60a, and the 17t brushed motor of your choice. That way we can have the potential to see some unique motors etc that you might not normally get exposed to. I like finding and supporting small business. I would like to see a class where those products can get some time in the spotlight.I don't actually follow NASCAR, and made my own livery and body. I like the fundamentals involved, and also, it is cheaper to just tell people where to get the exact car, and for -$200, they're in.
My modified Rustys are so fast, it would take a ton of $$ to catch them. Not what I want my league to be about
Ha...I just ordered that body.As I look through the product line currently available there is none I wouldn't have a good time with. But the modified, and sprint car stand out as 2 I would get. View attachment 259362that's just awesome....could be more awesome in lime green
If we get this retro racing thing going or not I am gonna own the modified kit. It will give me an oval car I can run, as well as something that should be able to use the foams I took off the drag car kit. I have a 60 amp esc, servo, my choice for a 17t brushed motor and everything else I need to make it go. If you wanna see if we can make this work I can talk to Chris or Tyler next time I go to rc madness.Ha...I just ordered that body.
You guys are gonna tour up here in Maine, right???If we get this retro racing thing going or not I am gonna own the modified kit. Any chance once the building gets underway you will be jealous enough to race with us down here?? Doesn't seem fair to keep all the traveling to ourselves...You guys are gonna tour up here in Maine, right???
These cars and bodies are 100% a missing part of my love for vintage!
I bought a few bodies but never had a place flat and clean to run the cars.
I'm a bit jealous right now!
Awesome idea!!!![]()

Sounds like the making of a good plan. I had an rc10l with the carbon chassis...so long ago I couldn't tell ya what motor was in it.I was in Wooooorcester not long ago with 100% full intent on hitting that track... I was there for a wedding, food did not agree with me and was up all night so we left for home early the next morn instead.
Had no RC with me anyways so you know how expesive that trip would have been!!!
I think I have enough vintage here that I'd like to try on a flat track that a trip would be a fun idea.
I just need to get going again. Get driving, practice and get the mojo flowing.
I just got more stuff in the mail.
The Optima Mid and hoping another project should be done quickly.
I have an RC10LC that is vintage, needs a quick going thru, set up and should be PERFECT for that oval track.
I'd love to tour the southland once I have my set up straight and can drive thru the pipes without riding them all the way home!!!![]()
I watched these cars race and I was completely blown away by how fast they are! I found this one on Craigslist not long ago and I bought it. Its only been run on carpet so is super clean.Sounds like the making of a good plan. I had an rc10l with the carbon chassis...so long ago I couldn't tell ya what motor was in it.
I get the whole idea behind a true spec class where everyone has the same car/tires etc. I know of no real racing that operates that way though. There are limits etc, but am watching some rally car racing right now and there is everything from bmws to open wheel f-1 cars on the course right now....never seen a dirt track with a flyer to sign up for like an kx250 only race....kind of sounds like an idea pitched on "fairness" probably by a very fair company that wants the $$ from everyone being forced to buy a tt02, with a torque tuned motor/1060 combo, with these specific tires. It's brilliant marketing, not really brilliant racing at that point.
Lol! I said similar about servos receivers and escs. It gets more difficult to trust the waterproof ratings once you recognize who profits if the testing was less than accurate. My tt02 did not come with any capacitors on the motor. A well known concept for protecting your esc against voltage spikes under hard braking etc. Something you are likely to do in racing. As the maker of a spec class car I wouldn't put em on there either, since if you blow up yer hw1060.....it's the only option you have and you can continuously put more $$ in my pocket given your zero other options.
