Club race today at the clay track per usual. Only 9 drivers, 2 heats of 4wd and 1 heat for 2wd buggies. Yea, summer/outdoor season is in full swing so we just have barely enough 2wd/4wd buggies, not enough other classes to run others.
Learned some stuff and sort of fixed my Reflex 14T when I was there. Helped a guy fix up his slash by lending over my tools and rebuilding his transmission with new parts, I stayed there overtime, always welcoming new people. Had some crashes and some issues but overall fun relaxed day.

Went out for practice, local guy said to tighten up my slipper a 1/4 turn and raise my rear ride height. Ideally 15-17mm was the gold spot here. Did exactly that and holy did it do so much. Could clear jumps with it and have more control. The slicks with reconditioning these old ancient rotted out tires did the trick, early in the morning atleast. Once a new round started I quickly re-sauced them so it didn't wear off by my heat came about. Had some slight sliding out issues but not as crazy as i was running those old ProLine Primes MCs the other time I raced it here so my stats have improved in 2wd. I believe right after the race ended in Q2 my rear shock cap pulled off the standoff. Put 2 small washers there and then the nut back on, should not come back off again.
Q1 moved from 5th to 4th. Fast lap of 19. Q2 Stayed 4th, fast lap of 18.7. Avg of 22.1. Q3 Moved back down to 5th, fast lap of 19.2, avg of 22.3. A Main: Stayed 5th, fast lap of 19.5, avg of 22.5. Probably got worse as I was sliding around more, plus crashing more. Q2 was my best stats wise.
4wd:
Dealing with the new servo here as I did the servo swap between buggies. First off in the morning I felt like it was twitchy but throughout the day I got used to that servo speed even at 6v so it got less twichy for me to drive, without turning down my Dual Rate, although I did mess with turn and return settings a bit. One of the front hub bearings had play, either donezo bearing or the hub got warpped, had that issue a few times but still ran it without working on it all day. In the main my front tires got ripped up soooo badly i just kept running. You could hear the rubber flapping against the dirt when driving lol. Did a practice session after with the big hole in the tire, did not notice any difference, LOL.
Q1, 2nd, fast lap of 18.1, avg of 20.1. Q2: started 3rd moved to 2nd, fast of 17.8, avg of 20.1. Q3: still stayed 2nd. Fast of 17.7, avg of 20.0. A Main: Stayed 3rd. fast of 17.8, avg of 19.9.
Ran the Mini B/Pro4/Slash/Rustler all in between for practice as we took like an hr break in between for lunch. Not many drivers, less racing, makes sense, ie more chilled back race day.
My buddy on the other hand had some issues. His B64D rear shock shaft came undone, he swapped shocks from his spare car. And his motor overheated from running back to back mains as he had a bump up. His 22 5.0 his sensor wire popped out mid race causing it to feel sluggish and slow. But overall fun track day. Also got some parts for the 6s Typhon, update on that soon, and I got another set of 1/8 buggy tires, more for bashing and 2 batteries so I will be all set with the typhon once i get it running!
While helping out my guy fix his slash no one was running and everyone has left so I took 3 minutes to do a dedicated Track Walk for everyone so here ya go!
