Very fun race day at The Track with my buddy @luke66 . He Doing a road trip with his fam along most of the east coast. Stopped by MD for a race day. I'm not gonna post stats as I broke alot of things (lol, oof) and treated today as more of a fun day rather than competitive day but I know @luke66 will join in later on here and post all about it. Nice seeing you in person finally 😁

Planned to race just 4wd bug and 4wd sct. I broke 4wd buggy half way through Q2 with a motor wire just torn through, huge thanks to the shop owner (Mimi) getting me fixed up. Great solder work too.
4wd sct I ran and was leading in Q3 and in the main 2 minutes in broke and arm. She didn't have rpm in stock so I just picked up a replacement set for all 4 arms.
@luke66 raced 4wd sct with me with his stash. I gave him my slicks and body from my slash 2wd which helped him a TON with lap times and consistency. He also used my spare transponder. Saw him improving later in the day as well. Also his slash MM. His bro was racing sportsman with his slash 4x4 and we did an extra sportsman race and @luke66 joined in with the Mojo Grom. (Without transponder just for fun)

@luke66 drove my 2wd TLR and he loved it. How fast light weight nimble and quiet it was, and my NB4 too lol. Didn't race 2wd but idk what it was today but it felt a whole lot better at this track then the last time I was here. Maybe those ancient tires are coming back to life, and/or the track grip is up from 2 months ago lol. Also drove his slash MM. It drives a whole lot better than a rear motor LCG slash. Couldn't tell at first with the TQ Traxxas radio and how stiff the throttle sprint was but I noticed it when I got in some laps. Pro racer overhere lol. Same with @luke66. His first official track day? Following me in 3rd I believe in Q3 and got 2nd in the A main of 7 trucks (2 dnf people in the main) . Pretty good!

Otherwise great day. Here's some pictures and videos.

Also TLR driver (regional) Jose Zayas out here rippin the new 22X DC in 2wd 17.5. literally flying.

Also luke got himself some new electronics. New Max10 SCT in the slash MM and a hobbywing max10 60a combo for a potential future build plus some spare lipos 😎

Kinda weird seeing my own bomb Pop body on his car while I'm paying attention to my pro4 lol.

this is what its about imo. this just made my crappy day better

don't call buggies bugs, its weird. just spend the extra 2.7 seconds and finish typing the word buggy.
That's a little buggy if you ask me 🫠

Infact I do have a little buggy
Check out my mini b build
Shameless plug
😆😁

Time for me to add my piece. I had the STASH, Slash MM, WLToys 1/28, and the Mojave GROM. Started out the day by putting the MAX10 120a I bought from @DavidB1126 in the Slash MM. Put in the transponder and race tires I had for the day and ripped that around for a bit for practice. Felt real nice. Handled great and had plenty of pep on the back straight. Then I realized that I was going to be racing soon with the STASH in 4WD Mod SCT and I quickly switched over the transponder and fixed the front A arm that broke on the STASH earlier. Ran out of time though and ran the STASH on TRX (non-race but S1 soft compound) tires in Q1. Before Q2 I got the STASH running the slicks and David said I should use his body off his Slash. Tried it and my consistency and lap times got MUCH better. Ended up running the car that way for the rest of the race day. Q2 and Q3 went by without any issues. Then came the main. I qualified 3RD place behind David and a guy with a Mini Truggy. (Cheater!!!) in the main David’s SC10 ended up DNFing him. Ended up with a 2ND place finish. I consider it a first though because of the Truggy lol. In between races I ran the Slash MM, the WLToys on the Mini Z track (it sucked) and David’s TLR 22 5.0. Really liked the 22 and the Flysky Noble NB4. I didn’t really try to get a ton of speed going cuz it wasn’t my car and wrecking cars isn’t cool. Obviously my race lineup needs an upgrade lol. Speaking of wrecking cars…… While I was running the 22, David was trying out my Slash MM to see how it handled compared to his Slash Rear-Motor. I was just peacefully driving the 22 when David walked off the drivers stand, picked the Slash MM out of the track, and said “I think I’m done driving” Somehow the shock screw that went into the A-arm ripped out, the chassis bent like 30 degrees after the trans case, and the ESC mount broke. Not sure how it happened and he didn’t know either lol. Didn’t get any pics of bent chassis. Got some pics but not enough as usual:

Overall, track day can be summed up in three sentences. I won, (kinda debatable but whatever lol) I had a great time, and David broke my car (I don’t really mind since all that broke was 3D printed but I’ll still give him a soft time lol)

Hope to do it again soon!

Traxxas issues
Jk lol
Chassis wasn't thick enough probably. Should buy 2 and weld them together or something to strengthen it up. Idk

We ALL on RCT need a track day all together. All.of us.
That'd be a riot! I'm in!

Oh no you shared the video of me driving the 22 lol. I was so slow and careful with it.... Hope that my driving in the other videos is fast enough to make up for it.
