I caught up on another vid on bombpop chnl tho. 👍😎
That's a scam site don't go on that
how am i supposed to watch a private video?
Should work now I changed the view settings. It works on my end bc I was logged into my account so that's why I didn't know it was private, when I embedded the video here.

Anyways

Big track/fun day.
Couple guys aka my new buddies lended me some tires. Did the first run on the Typhon with the stock deboots tires which were decent but... Used Proline s3 tires, money. Hooked up now. I can turn and jump better. But first day overall with the Typhon it's quite fun. Still need to learn that throttle control in the air since it is dirt, less traction, bigger and heavier car too. Arrma 6Ss are chonky. Lol.

And then I bent the rear tower, kept driving on it bent idc, getting a new one anyways, cheapo GPM china aluminum... Jenny's RC time. And then my car stopped in a turn bc my battery unplugged. Bc the bullets in the IC5 aren't that secure. Pulled it off track, plugged it back up and the motor wouldn't work. It will do its spektrum jingle, ie start up, but once I blip the throttle the motor cogs out and tries to restart its self so it's either bad motor, bad wiring or the esc. Spektrum electronics, normal.😆
Drove the pro4 and beat that up for the rest of the day. Did bring the slash and rustler but not brining them here again unless I get real tires for those trucks bc absolutely no traction at all.

That's cool, Maybe you should get the 7075 TLR tuned shock towers from the TLR Typhon i had an idea once to either get a TLR Tuned Typhon Roller or a Losi 8ight-XTE RTR. I like the power system of the Losi but the Losi isn't technically made for bashing but the Typhon can definitely bash and the TLR Tuned is kind of the EXB equivalent for the Typhon.

If the tlr tuned parts are a direct fit on the V5 then yes I'll definitely go with them

These cheapo GPM ones state 6061T6 aluminum. Probably why it bent, I guess.

Wait
Was this last night?
Yea it was. I stayed up ultra late to finish star wars episode 3 lol. 🤣🫠

I've always liked Star Wars even the prequels and the animated shows like Clone Wars, Rebels and for awhile i was interested in the Bad Batch but i also liked the Mandalorian. But the Sequels were kind of bad it's what happens when a company like Disney tries to make movies with a real direction since good ol' George didn't give them anywhere to go from the OT.

Invidious.io is NOT a scam site.
It bypasses youfool bs and allows vids to be viewed, not advertised on.
Youfool tries to shut it down all the time so you KNOW its good! 🤣

@CJSRCLIFE

What about M2C for the towers? Just looked and yes they are 7075 T6 and 9.5mm thickness, more facts on them than what Horizon would ever state about their parts lol. But, its 55 bucks a POP!!! I dont be having 1/8 scale moneys right now lol. Compared to the TLR tuned 7075 towers on Jennys, those are 32 bucks for a pair of both F/R. Thinking TLR tuned would be better for this case. Money wise and plus its just a track car for fun not for racing and such. Also should be able to finally use real arrma shock standoffs with those towers. the GPM ones arent drilled properly to use 6S EXB standoffs. They were probably drilled to 3mm or 3.5mm when ideally you need to drill to 4mm, well using a 4mm bit for it to work and use it.

I think the TLR Typhon use 7075-T6 parts like the pivot blocks, shock towers and the chassis. I can give you the product page for the TLR Typhon.

Not a BEC or receiver issue as it shows 7.35/7.4v on my radio and the servo works fine. Ill test my HW 3660 SCT motor on the esc to see if it works, whenever i get to it, probably next weekend, if it works, motor issue, if it doesn't, esc issue. Do have a spare esc but I need to redo and resolder the battery wires and plugs. Looking at 8BL150 HW G2/WP combos right now. Not sure if 4274 2000kv or 4268 2600kv would be better, guessing the 4268 bc of the can size, but its too high of a kv.... while the 4274 is a truggy motor, the kv is just right for it but its gonna be more heavy. Compared to stock is a odd ball 4074 2050. And I was planning on gearing it up to a 20T on the pinion anyways so I think 2000/4274 would be the best option, but 160 bucks......... . . . Would like a sensored system but a Max8 is like over 250 bucks easily.... And coming back to this... :

- Most likely esc issue as it happened right after landing hard. Which means ill invest in some double sided foam pads. I think @bill_delong mentioned it once

Sticking/going with HW because I already have like 3 PRG cards for them lol.

Or if I want to do it for the cheap I could stick with spektrum. Just get a new firma 150 black/stealth edition on jennys for 70 bucks and a replacement motor for 35 bucks. But still, dont have a spektrum PRGmer and could run into this exact same issue in the future, but, what is improved on the newer stealth escs compared to the older black/orange escs?

I checked Horizon's site and they the TLR Typhon has 7075-T6 chassis and shock towers but idk about the other aluminum parts. M2C is nice but really expensive and it sounds like you want a fun club racer more than a hardcore race car.

@CJSRCLIFE

seems like for the TLR towers if I want to use them I need to get some other parts as the TLR tuned towers, well in the front at least uses a adjustable pill system so if I were to go that route I would have to get new hinge pins, pills/inserts for the front towers, and a new front upper arm block also.

Jennys rc:
Towers: 32 bucks
Steering bellcrank/crack 25T (includes upper arm block): 19 bucks

Amain:
pills/inserts: 12 bucks
hinge pins: 6 bucks

Could get all of it on jennys rc but most parts in the TLR tuned plastics pack with side guards esc mounts and what not I dont need. Not sure if its cheaper to do amain or jennys but.

69 bucks jennys/amain
81 bucks if getting everything off of jennys rc (with included other plastics in that kit it comes in)
Compared to the stock aluminum towers, those are 8 bucks on Jennys and I don't need anything else. But horizon doesn't state the aluminum grade on those ones.
Thats just for getting/fixing my suspension.
Electronics is a separate issue right now. Lol.

Less features for more money is my guess. 🙄🤣
