hello everyone its been a while but i have a little problem :D
my savage .25 with a axial .28 has shredded both differentials WHY????
and does anyone know where i can get a good price on some
I recently got a T-maxx in a trade that is fully built out in aluminum except for the differential housings. I noticed that when I spin my axles one by one there seams to be one that turns rougher than the rest and actually has a bit of a wobble to it. The truck drives ok but I'm worried I'll...
Savage XL:
Should they be "locking" or "limited slip".
Reason i am asking, is every time i get up on two wheels, the engine revs, the wheels in the air just spin and the truck slows down.
I would like it so all the power is going to ALL the wheels ALL of the time.
Is this possible?
Serious question, if you've had the car for 3 years, and the diif(s) are still fine, let me know.
Just looking for some numbers here :)
I have a monster truck, but information about any vehicle is of use.
thanks for your time!
ok, well i race a team associated RC10T4 on dirt oval. the class i run is probably the roughest out there. almost every race i get knocked out due to the rear link popping off and my dogbone comming out with it. once the dogbone pops out, the differential imediately puts all the power to the...
hey, i was wondering what how the gears inside the back differential go together. If you guys could show pictures or anything that would be awesome! thanks
Ok, just got a few questions here..
I keep hearing about people putting oil in the differentials intead of the grease that it comes with.
1.How hard is it, and is it worth the trouble?
2.Why didn`t it come with oil in it?
3. Do you have to change the oil?
4. What oil would you use?
an off the wall question here but i was wondering if anybody knows if the differentials from a summit would fit on a t maxx, if i got a fourth channel to control the e-differentials? I'm decent with fabrication, so thats not a prob, i was just wondering what I'm looking at for a project?
i read somewhere that the new 16.8 e-maxx diffs are the best yet from traxxas. any opinions? i just blew one out this weekend and i always like to put in the best i can afford. are they the same ratio as the others? thanks
i just got my maxx back together after doing a complete overhaul and my rear wheels are going the wrong way umm y. i thought u could only put the rear diferential together one way
Hey all. I've taken apart both my differentials to do the 4 gear spider mod. Everything is perfect in the differential case and both sides spin very smoothly, but when I mount the differential in the bulkhead and spin the bevel gear manually (the one that leads to the transmission), the...
Hey guys,
How will I know if my differential is perfectly shimmed? Is there a specific number of shims to put on each shaft? Please help me, thanks!
It's for a Savage25 with Aluminum differential cups and spider gear mods.

Hey guys,
It looks like the gaskets for my differentials tore on me, and I can't find them anywhere else except for buying it with the diff. case and stuff. Is there any other part or alternative I can go with? Thanks!

The left front differential shaft broke today where the dogbone goes into it. Does anyone know how to change that out?
It's on a rs4 rtr3 evo+
Thank you
So I'm buying two new differentials, because I know these two are messed up in some way, I can't see it, but I know something's wrong because it's ticking like mad, and this is where it's coming from, so all I need to know is this; This is my [rear] differential:
It has two screws on the...
Ok well i want to put an LRP .28 in my revo. Now i know that i really need to do some drivetrain work..
I have already got 17mm rims with aluminum hexes and CVD's
Now the diffs i was thinking rd logics cups and the Robison racing outer gear set?? what do you guys think and what about the...

After a pretty bad frontal crash (which happened when I let my gf drive my car ;)) my differential shaft snapped (part #A558), the part which holds the end of the dogbone for one of the front wheels.
As a result it seems like I have to open the differential box in order to remove the remains...
