what type of grease should i use i just got new bearings and would like to know if i should use your standard everyday grease or a thinner grease

You want to use differential oil.. there are different weights of it as well.. I haven't had to tear into one yet.. but I'd say the weight of oil is at your discretion..
 
Only use oil in a sealed diff. If it's the older, unsealed diff, pack it with lithium grease.
 
Do they come from the factory w oil in em? I blew one up..... so I took it apart... no oil inside.
I just replaced the whole damn thing instead of rebuilding it.

This was a "newer" 4 bolt design. Sealed unit. Was on a tmaxx 3.3 4909

nope its on a 2.5 with just the 2 bolt setup
