Another one down the Traxxas rabbit hole tell me if you have not heard this before from some Traxxas owners I am going to buy this than upgrade to that just do yourself a favor and never look back at the cost if your like me it will make you pissed but that just me.
I lucked out and so far I only have like $220-$250 in it including what I paid for it.

This thing looks so pretty. Was super nice that it comes with a spare bearing.

This one isn't bad at all. There is a black and red one I like even better. How well made are these? Will they get destroyed if you bash with them?
I had that one on my Outcast for a while, the faux motor broke off, because I was running it without the wing and a chopped wing mount and after many hard bash sessions it developed cracks in the front of the body. I would recommend doing like @sevin7 did for his body https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/sevins-outcast-jeep-indestructible-body-tutorial.8138/#post-83488

The body I ordered for the Outcast was the one for the Revo and it did not come with the body holes pre drilled, this one I ordered for the Stampede had the body holes pre drilled. Idk if they just recently started pre drilling the body holes or if only certain bodies come that way.

As we all know the stock VXL system does not work that well in the Stampede 4x4 so I decided to do an upgrade. I had to make my own esc mount and modify the chassis a little bit.
GoolRC 3100kv 3665 brushless motor, with an 11t pinion and a Hobbywing Max10 SCT RTR esc.

I also lowered the body.

I will need to do some trimming to the wheel wells as they are going to rub.

How does that motor run?

It ran pretty well in my 2wd Ruckus but was a tad overkill for it. It would snap axles on 2s.
I haven't had a chance to run it in this yet though.
I’m interested to know cause I need a new motor for my pede. I currently have a castle 4600kv but it’s under sized for the 4x4

So
With the 11t pinion on 3s it is much slower than the VXL 3500 on a 9t pinon, no backflips and only the occasional wheelie.
the stock vxl is a faster and more power full? Maybe you should up the pinion size

So I was messing around with the Hobbwing LED program card on this esc and it has a 7.4v bec. Seriously not expecting that from a rtr esc especially a Redcat one to boot. Does anyone know if the Traxxas 5 channel receiver can handle 7.4v?

For when the cheap traxxas servo strips gears (and it will), you can replace them with the savox metal gear set. Cheaper than the traxxas set and fits perfectly: https://www.amainhobbies.com/savox-sc0251mg-metal-gear-set-w-bearing-sav-sg-sc0251mg/p183320
Yeah, I tried that on a couple and they bind really bad. I have to leave the screws 1/4 turn loose or it will barely turn. Then it negates the waterproof and makes for a generally prone to failure servo as they rattle even more loose over time.

Psh that you think I would leave the stock servo in a Traxxas :p It was replaced before I ever ran it with some eBay cheapo waterproof servo, picked up 3 of them for like $36 and other than being a bit on the slow side they work pretty good.

And thanks for that link, I have some the 2056 and the 2075 servos in my 2wd rigs that I want to replace the gears in and I couldn't find my link to what servos gears fit.

These are the servos. I bought them for testing purposes in my 1/10 scale stuff. I stuck one in the 4pede and 2 in the Summit. And like I said previously other than being a bit slow they have plenty of torque even at 6v.

Weird, I put them in my rustler and stampede 2wd after both servos stripped and had no issues with that. Was it that particular set I linked? I know for sure that specific one works in the 2075.

Yep. Same part #. I tried putting them in a couple 2075's I took out of my brushless revo when I got it. I never used them, but figured beefing them up and throwing them in a box and they could get used in my ejato or stampede 4x4, but they labor so much that they are kind of useless. I even tried putting green slime on the outputshaft/o-ring then putting them back together. Both of them did the same thing.
