Today started off great got to run my Slash 4x4 Ultimate but just a half an hour ago i tried to run my Outcast 8s EXB but the esc was flashing red and it wouldn't go forward so i took it apart and found this.

a crushed esc to receiver wire (Most likely got crushed on the lid of the receiver box when i put it all back together last week).
crushed firma 160 esc wire 1.webp

a cut in my receiver antenna.
bad sr6200a antenna wire.webp

I also tried the receiver in a test setup and it would bind right up but it would have no reverse and it was glitchy with AVC activated. (Might've gotten fried when i kept trying to troubleshoot it by reversing the wires) My Bad 🤣🤣

got the Dromida 4.18 MT as far as i can until the receiver and wheels/tires show up.
had to swap the battery connector on the ESC, not thrilled with the solder on the splice job but it's shrink tubed, out of sight out of mind. if it fails ill fix it.

and did some cleaning, organizing, and decluttering of junk in the RC catchall semi useful junk box. and somehow organized takes up more space than clusterfricked. whatever, at least i have a few less boxes to look through to find what i need.
also got all the frequency crystals out of my toolbox! so there's that.

Can't jump into these things!!! 🤣
wanna hear something funny. iv only been using this toolbox for about 7 years. i haven't used an AM radio in 12 years. so i put those crystals in there for no reason. :hehe:

After i got to run my XO-1 i retested my Outcast's ESC and found it wasn't dead also i hooked it up to my Spektrum programmer and found out why reverse wasn't working it was set to fwd\brk only so changing it to fwd\rev\brk fixed it. And changing it to a different Spektrum got it to work again so all i need is a new SR6200A receiver next month and it'll be back up and running this time i just need to be careful when i reinstall everything so nothing gets crushed or shorted again.

hex adapters, wheels tires, and receiver installed in the Dromida MT. it's a runner again. so i can run lipo in that one now.
looks kinda cool, the Arrma grom tires are a little taller and wider than the Dromida tires. so it looks more monster truck like now.

New Left Front steering hub/block
1.7 front 1.8 rear (for sway bars, should be better now to tune out that body roll, for carpet)
Cleaned up shocks
Mounted fresh Viper C3s
Chassis protector
And all 4 corners have carbon (stiff) arms.

I was going to replace the Right block aswell but the caster hat bushings in the old block was basically like seized into the plastic so Ill have to get a new pair of those, and also a shock standoff on that rear right shock. You see the difference in shape, although it does still technically work.

On the sway bars, I found a setup on SoDialed and he was running 1.7/1.8 f/r so I told myself it should be a good starting point and I can go up to 1.8/1.9 or even 1.9/2.0 if needed. Or go thinner sway bar and go to maybe 45wt in the front shocks? 🤔 I run 40/35wt right now. Red/Blue for the springs. If anyone has any suggestions.

Also the rear arms, since they are new, do have just a tiny bit of binding but it should go away once they're worn in. It's associated, its built well, unlike losi...

Finally put high clearance links on my daughter's Gladiator.
She's going with a blue and gold theme like our local hockey team (go Otters!)
I added the brass high clearance links. I think it looks great.
Ordered her the hex extenders last night.
Can't believe what a weight difference it made
38 grams of added weight between the plastic and brass

New builds coming soon, hopefully if money lets. One is a a Willys extended cab and the other is home made chassis made at work. Lol not great but my first and made very quickly out of an aluminum clipboard.
Also the axel you see shaved is a fix I learnt from a buddy with the pro steer injora axels, kept breaking the screw off.

@DavidB1126 You should quit racing and get a crawler! 😜 🤣
Too slow. Because I am speed
Plus I'll get into the rabbit hole of all the aluminum and brass upgrades. And beadlock wheels!

A trail truck isn't bad speed wise, especially in tight places. And you say this like its a bad thing. 🤔🫡
