I have a Crosstrek too! She does some work, carry all the bikes! Haha 😉. Crosstrek was my previous daily driver/dog mobile.

Now with the kiddo (and cuz Mom wanted more pep) I got the Outback Wilderness as the new daily.

Next, I'm doing the legwork researching the nuances of Land Cruiser to get myself an FJ60 or FJ62

Got my son a 2019 Crosstrek for his 16th Bday. It's been sitting at my parents house for a month now (we are bringing it to a neighbors house tonight, then while kids are opening easter hunt eggs tomorrow, I'll run over and put it in our driveway). He turns 16 on Monday, but gonna maintain the surprise and put the key in one of the easter eggs tomorrow. We actually have 1 large plastic egg and we got a stuffed Kangaroo and are going to put the key in it's pouch....get it? Subaru Kangaroo! lol I'm super excited!! (Can u tell???) lol

Its a G35X. Yeah. It neefs twin turbos I'm pretty sure. 🤔🤣

Envoy is a project. Its a Denali 5.3 with 3.42s
Someone was nice enough to put an 8" in place of the 8.6 it came with.
The rear end is clunky, pinion is sloppy now
I bought a rack, 4.10's front and rear, driveshaft from an SS trailblazer. small lift, 32's... nothing crazy, just fun.
As you are aware, due to design, the swap should happen all at once. I've been collecting parts and a plan for a while now.
The SS rear end looked like it was under water for a year before I got it. Outside was pitted to hell. Inside wasn't bad. No rust. I'm replacing c clips and outer bearings, seals, new backing plates and cover.
The axles aren't excited about sliding back in to the auburn spring clip arrangement.
I am considering a posi swap now. 🤷‍♀️
I have rear end housing de scaled, painted and ready for assembly now.
I haven't messed with it since fall so we'll see how it goes.

It might be something with the name... Portland. We have em here too! ( Subarus I mean!)
🙄🤣
The G35 platform is one of Nissan's better accomplishments. Fun car to drive. I have a 20k mile 2000 300z that I pulled out of a barn. Small engine fire. Building a wiring harness to get it back on the road.

The Envoy sounds like a fun project. I had an SS trailblazer for a few years. Fun toy.

All the infinities are ragged out garbage here. Several months ago they were doing donuts at the intersection. Into second it goes then back to first then into second again. Did that the whole time. I felt bad for it. 😝

They don't seem to hold up well to age, especially in cold climates where the roads get salted. In good condition their fun to play with though.

Passenger door is falling off. I bought a usef door to put on it for now. Still on hunt for 'perfect' door though.
The underside is ok. Not terrible but not clean either.
Envoy is prob same, slightly better condition.
The Focus is a legit California car. You can tell because Ford spends extra money to ensure the cars in the desert have more than sufficient rust proofing! 🙄 🤣
The Envoy is fun to drive but the gear ratio is lacking.
Even with 4.11's, tire larger diameter tires brings my ratio back to 3.55ish.

I hope I like the close ratio rack. Those things are like hen's teeth theese days! 🤣
The 14 bolt should cure any future diff issues too.

I'm not looking forward to the programimlng part tho.

What's with RC guys and Subaru's? Two of the guys at work who RC drive foresters. They also go to lunch together a lot.. hmmm....
Yea, when my wife was car shopping for herself with the kids and few years ago, they both said "Don't get a Subaru. Only old and gay people drive them". Lol Well son, you better appreciate just getting a car cuz 1 complaint and I'll drive that fu*cker into a lake!!!! 😂 😂 😁

I wanted a mid-size suv for him (he doesn't like how low my car sits and likes mom's '22 Kia Sorento better) and the Rav4, CRV, and Crosstrek were the most reliable and safest ones (and in my price range). He better like it. 🙏:p

Living in New England and with a long commute 5-6 days per week, I need awd. I got the Impreza mostly because it was under $27k! I come to find that it's a fun little car to drive and more than meets my needs. 6mos prior to me getting the Impreza, my wife needed a new car, and she settled on the Forester. Very nice car for under $32k!
I would say these 2 models are the best value for awd vehicles. Good on gas and better than average on reliability. It checks all the boxes on my checklist.

I like the blue too! We're going to use ours as an intro to towing and camping with the kiddo and pup this summer, I'm sure it'll be an adventure. 😄

My sister and I are getting my dad's 2014 Ford Escape with EcoBoost. It's in great shape, just needs new brakes, and he's going to pay for those once we both get our driver's licenses in a week. He got a new 2024 Ford Bronco Sport, the Badlands edition. My mom drives a 2018 Ford Explorer Limited package. My dad also has a Suzuki V-Strom dualsport 650, but he crashed it 3 years ago taking me to school. It was wet, and the tires weren't warm yet, and he cornered too fast and it slid out from us. We both walked away with minor road rash. Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

You're never too old to learn.... how to express your inner lesbian! :hehe:
I want to set mine up like this. Subaru, not just for Lesbians anymore!
