It seems like all the PTFE green label stuff is all outside of the USA, and middle picture says it all... "wet".

I have driven in wet weather and followed the instructions in the manual with maintenance and cleaning after wet run. the car's engine broke down as a result of the humidity. the car has not been submerged in water, driven only on wet asphalt.

what is the truth that in what kind of "wet" conditions it can be used?

Depends on who makes it and how well the tested it. Most things are splash proof, but I wouldn't submerge any of it even if they claim it's for a submarine.

The electronics is only part of it. Water gets into everything, diffs, CV joints, bearings and even your tires. It will also rust the screws and everything metal. I would just avoid the water if you can. Mud and sand can pretty bad too.

However, if you really enjoy playing in the water keep in mind that you will be dong maintenance and replacing parts at some point too.
 
It's traxxas E-revo 2.0.

I have always dried the car carefully and never dived with it. still the engine didn't last.
 
now I found more nasty things, the pinion hit that blue plate and this too must have strained the motor, (it was in the factory settings, so I haven't touched it) there is a sleeve on that motor shaft, which is probably meant to prevent the pinion from getting too close to that gray plate. It would seem that the sleeve is too long and the pinion cannot be further from the blue plate. And the pinion and spur are not even in the same line.

Edit. I took approx. 5mm off that sleeve with a pry bar, at least it seems to fit much better now.

Hmm, none of my Traxxas motors have a sleeve on the motor shaft... and it isn't shown in their parts diagram... any chance that's somebodies home remedy for positioning the pinion?

I guess the E-Revo is discontinued since it's no longer in Traxxas' 'Model Showroom' on their website.
 
I bought the car new from a local hobbyshop and the car came in an unopened factory package. so that's where it's been all along.
 
I asked traxxas support about it, they couldn't say anything other than that only the XRT model has that. I think I'll take the whole sleeve off
 
I was doing a bit of comparing ingredients. I've used regular old "Pledge" furniture polish in the past for body waxing and plastics "shine"/anti dirt clinginess... Do you think the Favor furniture polish adds a better "slipperiness" factor to RC plastics?
no idea, probably comparable where I feel any furniture polish will gitterdone and my preference is to go with the least expensive product :)

No idea of the effects on plastics but it will smell nice.
