Thanks and I agree it’s subjective, but I did say that I’ve ordered an IR temperature gun.
I’ve looked at the ESC settings but quite honestly I didn’t really see anything worth changing. I initially set the punch to level 3 but it was a bit sluggish off the line, so it got bumped to level 6. I had to change the motor rotation, and most other things like LiPo cell count, voltage cut off etc. is set to auto. I think LVC is set to “Auto (Medium)” or something like that, which caused LVC to kick in at 3.2v which feels a bit low. 3.4v would be more comfortable.
There aren’t really very many settings to change, but maybe timing is something to look at.
Yeah-good deal on the temp gun. They are invaluable in this hobby. I didn’t worry with the rest of the convo until I replied to your last one to me. Good deal though, that’ll be a tremendous help in general for ya.
In my Tekin stuff there is a TON that needs to be properly setup.. Brake frequency is a big one. Timing is generally safe out of the box, but Tekin doesn’t turn it up-they allow the user to mess with that. I know Hobbywing and Castle both have most of the settings my Tekin stuff does.
The chassis (driveline) break in is a bigger deal than most people new to kits think. My 1/8 stuff isn’t broken in for 3-4 packs MINIMUM driving hard.. It’s a NOTABLE difference.
