Thanks and I agree it’s subjective, but I did say that I’ve ordered an IR temperature gun.

I’ve looked at the ESC settings but quite honestly I didn’t really see anything worth changing. I initially set the punch to level 3 but it was a bit sluggish off the line, so it got bumped to level 6. I had to change the motor rotation, and most other things like LiPo cell count, voltage cut off etc. is set to auto. I think LVC is set to “Auto (Medium)” or something like that, which caused LVC to kick in at 3.2v which feels a bit low. 3.4v would be more comfortable.

There aren’t really very many settings to change, but maybe timing is something to look at.

Yeah-good deal on the temp gun. They are invaluable in this hobby. I didn’t worry with the rest of the convo until I replied to your last one to me. Good deal though, that’ll be a tremendous help in general for ya.

In my Tekin stuff there is a TON that needs to be properly setup.. Brake frequency is a big one. Timing is generally safe out of the box, but Tekin doesn’t turn it up-they allow the user to mess with that. I know Hobbywing and Castle both have most of the settings my Tekin stuff does.

The chassis (driveline) break in is a bigger deal than most people new to kits think. My 1/8 stuff isn’t broken in for 3-4 packs MINIMUM driving hard.. It’s a NOTABLE difference.

Cool, thanks :) I’ll try to reserve judgment then. I’m going to try to run 2 more packs through it at lunch time, if the hot outdrives allow me ;)

It’s funny how it cocks one wheel up at the front when you’re running flat out and try to turn. I think I’m going to struggle to resist putting sway bars on it.

I will say that it FLIES through the air compared with my Kraton. A few jumps really caught me off guard by how high it went. I did land one straight on the wheelie bar and it survived, so hopefully that Tekno durability continues!

I've got the Corally Kuron torox combo (got it cheap) in mine, so although not the same as yours it's in thsame family. I also found my LiPo's to LVC at about 3.2 on Medium (wish they would put what voltage that was..) so set it to high and it goes LVC at 3.5-3.7. I have some gensacearespammers 6750 and CNHL HiHV 8200mah, and couldn't tell you the difference... Although i'm currently in an argument with "Jasmine" at CNHL, and they are a horrible company to deal with... When you get the temp gun you'll have much better information.
BTW, did you get your Carbon mudguards yet? Nice aren't they!

Yeah I did! Would have been nice if the listing said that they included screws though. They’re very nice. Much, much thinner than my M2C ones for the Kraton though, so will be interesting to see how they hold up.

Very tempted to order one of these, but they’re ALL the money (it’s 9500mah, not 8000 like the URL says): https://onyxrcpowersystems.com/products/ecp-extreme-graphene-8000mah-14-8-4s2p-copy

I have the 5200 6s version of that. First jump, snapped the battery strap, LiPo flew out and broke the case... i was mortified, but a bit of Gorilla tape and it's still totally fine! Was a 25m triple back flip to sketchy landing though...
Get one, i say!

I have two of their 6S 6200mah packs for the Kraton and they haven’t given any trouble since December.

He had some good discounts during Black Friday last year. It’s a long time to wait though!

He doesn't have a lot in stock at the moment. Mike's a nice guy, i actually ordered 2 of the Graphene 5200 mah packs but he only had 1 (stock glitch) so sent me one of those 6200 mah ones instead! It won't fit in a Tekno so it's going to be used in the Jackhammr now.

So, crisis averted I think.

Just took the car to the forest and obviously it’s much slippier than the park. I got 26m45sec out of the same pack, and that’s AFTER changing the LVC setting to “Auto (High)” which cuts off at 3.4v. Much, much better!

The centre diff outdrives were not “F**K ME!” hot as they were when I ran in the park. I know @Littlemotor loves subjective heat tests ;)

It’s going to take quite some getting used to having a SWB truck after the Kraton. It wants to spin around on itself quite a lot.

There’s one downside of running in the forest though:

Glad to hear it, and good to see ya having fun! 🤘

I’ve just taken my MT48 2.0 for its first run.
The run times on my MT48 seem short too. A 6500mah 6s brick in my Kraton or Sledge lasts about 40 minutes at the dirtpark. My MT48 with a 6500mah 4s brick lasts less than half that at the same dirtpark. Like your truck mine rolls freely and doesn't seem to have any issues. Maybe I'm just not used to smaller 4s trucks and that's just the way it is?

The aftermath + 2 broken rear body posts :(

I also just noticed that one of the cable ties that were holding the motor cables to the centre brace has disappeared, lol.

That seems to be the truck's only weak spot. Well, there's one other.

TE NO MT48 2.0? They need to put more RD into their stickers. Take a second look at thewanted's truck and you'll see where I get that from.

lol, I promise the ‘K’ is there.
