Pinions for Gorgon 3800kv install, shocks for frankenbuild and screws for Granite (spares) from Jenny's.
Fought with paypal until I finally gave up. Purchased from ebay and got raped on shipping:
2 sets of Arrma shock caps and protectors. 2 good slides and my NEW shock caps were ground flat! I almost took the caps off my esc too! No more testing without a body!
Also bought a big bottle of 200cst oil.
And a set of H&R sport springs for my 1:1. The Hocus Focus is a bit too low, lol!
H&R FTMFW… They did real well under a few of my racecars-including a Maximum Motorsports Foxbody from hell..,😈

My current set is sagging but I take blame for that. I had seized poly bushings that made the back go all wonk. Plus 5 years of daily driving I think is just regular wear and tear.
They wete a tiny bit bouncy but compared to the skateboard, 4x4 look/feel it came with stock, H&R wins!
The car looks pretty good riding on the foam limiters on top of the shocks tho! (The ride is ummm... firm!!! 🤣🤣🤣)
The fronts seem to be holding up ok still even with all that abuse!

What shocks/struts did you run? I’m sure you know they’re gonna be more firm than any factory spring/shock combo, but if you don’t match the H&R’s to the proper shock/strut/valving/etc, they’re gonna be bouncy for sure.. I typically run Koni, AFCO, Ohlins, or Penske ($$$)..

Its an 06. I'm limited in choices so I went with Ford Racing SVT package.
It stiffened the car right up and handles 1000000....x's better!!!
The bounce is at low speed over bumps. "City" driving i guess?
I will pull the crossmember back out of it some day and weld in a swaybar.
I don't race it and it handles great on the street so its not been a priority, just a want.
I have LOTS of projects!!!

If I went with $$$ I'd likely have gone coilovers.

If I went with $$$ I'd likely have gone coilovers.

Yeah those aren’t enough for an aggressive H&R by a long shot.. The Tokico’s available for the ‘06 through Steeda may help, but not by much.. Not following you on “pull the crossmember out and weld in a swaybar” lol… Coilovers are really for two kinds of people-the guys that run their stuff with the SCCA or NASA on the weekends, and make constant adjustments/spring swaps/etc, or people that just wanna put their stuff in the weeds, and don’t care about anything else lol..

The car came with no rear sway bar. Kits avail "bolt-in" but bolts break and mounts shift unless they get welded. (focus forums, not my experience)
These "Sport" springs aren't super aggressive imo?
They are a good street performer.
I looked for H&R "Racing" spring for the aggresive feel you are talking about but they wete unavailible.
I thought about the Eibach springs but this car is a 270k mile daily driver. Its currently being used to teach our son to drive. I don't want a big dollar suspension in it. I just want a fun DD.
The coilovers srem to be a hit with ppl on focus forums, more so than coil/strut/shock.
I personally have no preference other than yes, dialing it in and driving it! I have PLENTY of things to work on. Cost was a large factor. Then, being able to replace parts rather than buying whole new cartridges every time i slam a pothole sort of sealed it for me.
This car's suspension is a blip on my radar.
I have an Envoy that is getting SS swapped (sort of) and lifted. I need 4x4 here so that is 1st.
Then a Caddy coupe deville, then my Coronet...
Did I mention the fixer-upper we live in? we bought this a couple years ago.
I have only got back into R/C again recently. Thats a long story but its working out to be a great distraction from "life" otherwise.
I should be fixing SOMETHING, right now!!!🤣🤣🤣

We could be related my dude..🤷🏻‍♂️😅

Their sport springs are the ticket for a DD for sure-that’s my fault for assuming they were the race coils. The Tokico’s would compliment them well, but the SVT shocks/struts may be just fine being they’re not the race coils. 🤙

That’s awesome on the kiddo, and even more awesome(rrrrr) on the Envoy swap! I’ve done a TON of 1st, and 2nd gen s10’s with SBC’s, and LSx’s.. Hadn’t gotten to the Canyon/Colorado/Trailblazer/Envoy platform just yet.. Not sure I will tbh lol..

Plus the housework… Plus the re-entry to RC.. You need your head examined.. Like I said-we could be related for sure! 🍻🤙😂

This stuff showed up over the last couple days… I’m stoked! And this Eclipse “package” was a STEAL…

The “eagle eye’s” among you will notice the open main lever package on the left.. I already swapped the stocker from the Revolution with the new Takumi unit.. Maaaaaan, it’s night and day.. The other Takumi on the right will go into the new Eclipse.. Along with the Crown Cap.. I’ve got another Crown Cap coming for the Revolution.. And a few more paints, some 2k clear, along with some Createx “Bleed Checker”.. 🤩

I’ll be shocked if I get the shocks tomorrow 😂

Got the bushings in today for them, glad fedex didn’t catch the names, they had two packages for me today, the shock bushings and the slash kit, but I had the slash delivered to my neighbors so my son didn’t see it already.

Just think about all the exciting places your shocks have already been! And they aren't even installed yet! THIS is why shipping costs are so high! First class tourism for ALL packages apparently! lol!

Wonder how many young men they have seen in their undies climbing trees in Arkansas 😂

@remote uncontrol

I can't wait to see what you make of that shipment! I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly from elementary school, if I took ALL those parts and paints and put them ALL together REAL careful I could make a very fancy ashtray! I'm sure you'll have better results!
I wish I were an artist but I lack those skills.

Have my head examined... I had it checked once.
The doctor scanned my brain and told me he couldn't find a thing. 🤔

Had to pick up some more extras for the eMeter v2 data logging system before they disappear. If anyone ever wanted a cheap data logger, then I'd hop on these now while they're still on eBay. This unit was discontinued quite a long time ago and nowadays, the only place you can find em is on eBay. They are selling this stuff dirt cheap. You can get the analyzer unit along with two RDUs (remote data unit. This is the bit you install in the kit that collects the data), an LDU (Local Data Unit. This unit is like an RDU but lacks one or two of the sensor ports. It's more for bench testing), Tachometer, and 2 temp sensors for $27 + S&H. The RDUs themselves are like 5–6 bucks + S&H. They also have MDUs (Micro Data Unit) which is an RDU only for small scale stuff.

Back when I bought my first set in 2021, this stuff was still pretty cheap back then and could be found on Hyperion's website as well as other sites even though it was already discontinued back then. Now the only place I can find them is on eBay, so time is running out. :)

New (legal) power plant for the 1:10 SK Pan Car. Ceramic bearings are allowed in my class so I plan on buying and installing those before I install the motor in the car.

Ugggggggggghhhh.... apparently I was supposed to get the r2 version of this motor. Oops. I returned this motor, however I plan on upgrading my hex drivers first before I go buying the correct motor.
