I bought a cheap toy grade transmitter, receiver and battery that will work with the excavator project.

You piqued my interest.

We have that same excavator man. It won't dig unmolested dirt, but if you have fluffy dirt that has been worked already, or loose gravel/sand it should dig it ok. Breydon had ours figured out when he was about 5. I was pretty impressed with how easily he picked it up.

Thats the same controller I paid $150 for 4 years ago for an X-box! Damnit!!!

We bought them this weekend but this still counts...
Bought 2 rubber band and bead bracelettes from little kids on the beach. The best $10 I've spent in YEARS!!! Those little girls (and their parents) were all just SO happy that we bought them!!!

It's all good, I highly doubt you will see me in the back door playing with my new toy.
My grandson will dig holes in the living room when he comes over.
He discovered leg kicks work pretty good when kicking Papa's legs.

New toys from Snap-On now that I know how to buy online lmao (no spaces). These are what I settled on replacing the MIPs, mainly because I was tired of swapping the speed bits from the handle and the stickers with the sizes on them. No need for a 2mm hex, because 5/64" is literally the same as a 2mm. For the .050" size, I got 2 allens, one long and one normal sized but that's fine with me. My pan cars do use a few .050" screws, a couple grub screws, and the front steering kingpins are .050" but they're usually in sensitive places that shouldn't be over-torqued. I've also never needed a ball hex so I'm not too concerned about that either. I also got another mini magnet mat for my allen keys since they were on sale. (I also have a .035" and a .028" allen) I also love the foam cases, they have the sizes CNC'd on the foam too. I also needed some mini phillips and mini slotted drivers as well.

Grabbed a couple things for the new buggy….Tekno NB48 2.2

Had to break my boycott of GaymainHobbies in the process.. Oh well.. Got some stuff from BeachRC while I was at it.. More in the works soon..

The coolest thing (to ME anyhow), is this right here… Pulling the trigger on a couple more Tekno kits.. (2) Tekno EB48 2.2’s.. One is for the girl, and I’m doing it exactly like her Truck.. So the same paint scheme/colors, Decals, wing wrap, etc.. Also the same J&T Titanium turnbuckles in “Oil Slick”, Ultimate Racing Pink washers, and Nyloc flanged nuts, yada, yada.. Pink Flock Foil up front, purple CNC closed wheel nuts, all that..

THE PROBLEM is the shock adjustment collars… The ones I ordered to run on her truck took a LOT of searching.. They’re OG HB Racing D8 collars in purple anodize… They’ve lonnnnng been discontinued.. I got lucky, and found some at AbsoluteHobbyz, but ONLY through their eBay auction. Sold out on their main store site.. Those are the ones I was able to grab, and outfit her build with… That was over 6mos ago…

Fast forward to the last two weeks of searching for them again… I was able to find ONE package of them. They come in packs of (2)…. Well in MY mind, in this situation (2) collars is the same as ZERO collars, so I passed..

Well I just so happened to be talking to my boys over at NitroPro the other evenin’ as I knew that a certain lonnnnnnnngtime Pro 1/8 off-road driver had parted ways with HB Racing fairly quietly, and has been running Mugen for a few weeks.. He also liked to run the discontinued OG purple collars as they matched his paintwork..

Long story shortER……….Guess who got their hands on Cole Ogden’s collars for their girl’s new ebuggy build…

I dunno who’s more stoked-her, or me, lol…. Love when the RC Gods shine on a brotha…

I’ve already grabbed a few things when I grabbed the kit, so they’re just sitting here with it-waiting on the rest of the goodies..

I’ve still got this stuff coming here very shortly…

That’s a pretty damned hefty discount…

I’ll be pulling a bit of a “musical chairs” scenario with a couple new engines/pipes.. I’ve got a brand new 7port Reds Ceramic DLC Mario Rossi Modified Superveloce .21 sitting in my RC8B3.2 as we speak, but that & it’s Hard Coated X-One 2113 high rpm pipe will be going into this new Tekno. The Picco 5port will be getting modified by my boy Arron at AMR, plus a drilled backplate, and going into the Associated buggy. It’s kinda been the plan all along-but it took a hot minute to be able to pull off… I’m freakin pumped up man!
