We certainly have a lot of kangaroos in our area. The housing development has cornered them in. Trapped. They are in yards and on the roads. I'll try to get a photo.

I didn’t buy anything but of course amain is tempting me with a sale on the team associated rc8b4e and an additional $30 off for purchase over $350

for got to add that I do need to buy some more grease and shock and diff fluid in preparation of a deep clean of my car, also need to get new body mount posts as I bent them my first weekend racing, maybe a new body, and now miscellaneous things for maintenance like tools containers and a mat for my table

That is cool, but kinda sad huh. I never really pictured Australia with neighborhoods at all. But over here, pretty much all I have ever seen is movies and such filmed in the Outback.

There are huge neighbourhoods. We need to live somewhere.

This paddock(field) is flanked by a river and housing estates. There are normally 5x this amount of roos but of course when I need a photo they are thinned out.

Roos aren't a bother. They keep to themselves mostly. They only defend themselves when they are protecting. The biggest hazard is hitting a big one with your car when doing 110km/h on the highway. That's a big impact.

Yeah, and they're fast as hell too. Deer here are the same way. They shoot out of nowhere. I have ran into 5 of them over the years. One did $4500 in damage to a small Plymouth.

They will be jumping parallel to the road, then they'll randomly change directions, sometimes into the traffic. There are dead kangaroos everywhere on the side of the roads. When tourists visit Australia, they usually see at least 20 dead roos before they see a living one.

Most dangerous thing about hitting a roo is, if they are standing upright, they may go through the windscreen and hit the occupants in the face. Often resulting in death. That's why you'll see vehicles with big tall "roo bars" or "bull bars".

One deer I hit here was probably 60 yards off the road. And it was like slow motion. He reared up on his hind legs slightly and came straight for my car full tilt. I tried to miss him, but he slammed right into my door, right next to me, peeling the outside mirror right off the car.

Same with deer and lower riding vehicles.
A bit further north of me, in northern Maine, they have a moose vs automobile hazard. Moose are massive, and those bull bars are probably not going to help much. They are tall enough to come through the windshield of a full size truck, when struck.
