Yeah it's a Cox Chopper Trike. From the research I've done they only made the red ones for a couple years, from "71 to "73 if memory serves.

Picked up a '17 Subaru Crosstrek limited last Friday. Had the windows tinted Saturday. :D I've put just over 500 miles on it since. First car I remember owning that there wasn't something I wanted to change within 24 hours. Averaging just over 31mpg here in the mountains even with the AWD. I love this thing, fun to drive too, can't wait for next riding season!

Congrats Randy! Great cars. Was hoping you would get something reliable and not one of the big 3 domestics haha.

Is that one with a CVT? Always wanted to ride in a car with one of those to see how they felt.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's the CVT. But, it also has a manual mode with 6 pre-programmed pulley positions and paddle shifters that make it feel just like a 6 speed DSG setup. There's also manual override which is handy when passing, just pull the left paddle to downshift even in non manual mode and it'll downshift, handy coming downhills too. Taking the long way home for Christmas, so I can take it down one of my favorite roads on the planet. :D

In my Grand Marquis's, I'd sometimes shut off overdrive, but with my 300c, I tend to play around a bit more with the shifter. It's a side to side shifter for up/down. I think the newer version has paddles. Regardless, the trans isn't the most aggressive on it's own.

I've driven very, very few automatics (regardless of how they were setup) that have the firm shift of a good gearbox and clutch. The M3 comes to mind, in sport mode felt damn good. Haven't really had the chance to mess with mine much, for the driving I've done it just isn't necessary. But on the test drive, I was fine with how it felt.

Also, just learned my car holds more resale than any new car currently on the market.

I've noticed that there are a lot of Subarus out there, lately. They must be doing something right. Speaking of shifters, I discovered something new while reading through the manual for the car I just bought. Pull it into drive, pull the shifter to the left and it goes from economy into sport mode, holding each gear to a higher RPM. Pull it to the left, from drive, then push it forward and every time you push it it will shift into the next gear. Pull it back and each time it will downshift one gear.

Better be careful! If you rub the drivers door with a soft cloth 3 times counter clockwise and say the magic words, a genie pops out of the tailpipe!
I haven't waxed it. It's a new type of finish and they actually tell you NOT to. I spend a lot of time in car wash tunnels, though.
If I had known I couldn't wax it I wouldn't have gotten it.

Lucky for you I have found a transport company who is willing to take my cars to you for full detailing provided you agree to detail their rigs as well! I got you covered!!! ;) :thumbs-up:
