Now that I think about it, the treeline to my west, the sun goes down about 5pm, dark at 6pm. I get a beautiful east sunrise tho. Full spectrum

Santa's Sleigh Surface Temperature ​

If Santa really flew fast enough to visit every house on Earth in one night, he’d be moving hundreds of times faster than a spacecraft re‑entering the atmosphere.

At that speed:

• The air in front of the sleigh would get crushed and heated so violently that it turns into plasma — the same stuff stars are made of.
• The heat hitting the sleigh would be so intense that the surface would reach around 100,000 degrees Kelvin.

That’s:

• 20× hotter than lightning
• Hotter than the surface of the Sun
• Hot enough to vaporize any material instantly

In other words:
A sleigh moving that fast would glow like a tiny artificial star and instantly disintegrate unless Santa uses some kind of physics‑breaking trick to avoid touching the air at all.
So the only way Santa survives is if he’s not actually plowing through the atmosphere — he must be bending space, creating a bubble, or otherwise avoiding air friction entirely.

i think they're bigger than that. id think closer to 40mm. maybe even bigger (?)

Depends. Dimple diameter or surface diameter.

I would guess ~50mm

i actually know how many dimples they have. the answer is, it varies. iv heard some balls can have over 400 dimples, and some less than 200. so if you post a number between 150 and 450 you're probably right.
