There's plenty of places on this earth where you could simply start laboring, full time, at around 8yo, and work for essentially nothing, until your body can no longer function. There's no retirement plan or government assistance to be had. You were born poor, and then you die poor.
Cool?

is another choice... i was born wealthy, made the most foolish choices and now will work till i die and hope to not leave my son debts when i go
i felt really targeted with that comment @Xraycer described me to a tee lol

and the you die poor.
Most likely the case if I continue to use these addictive things....

I've definitely learned from my errors over the years but learned a few things that may keep a smile on your face in your twilight years:

1. If you are contemplating it, don't have kids. They are a blessing but will bleed you dry
2. Marry someone who is emotionally stable (that is a hard one but they are out there) and financial secure. As a side note, try to marry someone who understands and appreciates your weird RC obsession
3. Invest early and keep investing, even if you think you don't have the money to invest
4. Always, and i mean always, shut the power off to your house before doing any electrical work...
5. Try not to have any life altering accidents (like breaking your neck in three places)...
6. Don't ever piss into the wind, or piss on a electric fence for that matter
7. Don't ever book a flight with Southwest Airlines
8. Make sure you store your lipos at the proper voltage if you don't plan to use them for awhile (~3.8v) otherwise they will puff

My only thing with this is, is it normal for school to be 12 years? Once I graduate i would be in school for 15 years. Oof.

But did you die?

It's a pain it seems until you start working. School was fun now that I've been out since 93. 3 years in college & then trade school. Work work work. Enjoy school.

He's just not gonna get it! We can tell the young about what we've learned, but they just simply need to live it and learn for themselves.
When you were a teenager, how many times were you told by a much older person to enjoy your youth. But, did that actually mean much to us back then?
Like the adage goes: Youth is wasted on the young.

It's cold in here. I use to be hot natured-- well getting older, not so much. Can't see good, can't hear good anymore. It's a process. That's age- but with that brings wisdom. I think 🤔 🤣

Exactly!

We've become, or becoming, those old people shelling out advices and wisdom to the young. But, for the most part: it's in one ear, and out the other.
