I ran my hpi 4.6 savage till I ran out of fuel , then got out the beast !! Losi 5t with the Taylor 50gt in it , it's running great and no issues at all ,did a whole tank checked temps and headed home to BBQ chicken !

Ran my Redcat Blackout brushless truck. Thing is fun. Battery charging for the K6

Bashed the crap out of my K6 4990. The added 35mm piggyback fan over the caps works. Kept the temps of the ESC down. All the added fans do the trick. 83° outside in the open sun. This thing absolutely rips. 18/50 gear. Needs a wheelie bar. Grass, concrete, asphalt, dirt, no problem. New shocks helped the jumps. Lands perfect. It'll drift on concrete. Eye test: 60mph easy.

I've honestly already considered it. Really. The ESC fan is not always on. It's on a thermal temp control. These ESCs are great, but known to melt because of that. I've made the delrin standoffs for adding another 35mm on top of that piggyback one blowing directly on top of the ESC temp fan, like stairsteps. So that'd be 3 on it. Already got the glitch buster & the Dupont pin board snap & Y harness. May not need it tho, it did stay cool according to the data log.

Had a very loose super street car to start with and needed to stiffen up the suspension for the added weight. I kept dragging body on the right side. 1st qualifier i think i was last or second to last. I had speed but not very good control. 2nd B qualifier i had made some adjustment and was running 2nd in a great fight with the other front runners. Had some bad luck, and crashed hard pulling the driveshaft yoke off the pins and ripping the cap off the rear shock. With some help from neighbors i was able to rebuild the shock, but with the wrong oil weight, i should have asked around but i was too focused on getting it done quickly. Went out to the B mains and car felt about the same as the 1st qualifier, fast but too loose to be consistent. This was a ton of fun and excitement. The ups and downs, overcoming adversity while testing yourself and your car against others is a high that just doesn't come legally in most states!

The mudboss is a new-to-me chassis that i bought of another oval racer. It's pretty well setup with a lot of grip and very neutral handling. I didn't really make any adjustments to it over the night since my time was spent scrambling to keep the street car running. I raced both again on saturday after rebuilding all the shocks on the street car friday night and making some adjustments to the mudboss to get it more in-line with the rules. Had suspension mounted on the rear which worked ok but i dont think it was an advantage and I'm just more used to where and how to adjust a normal slash chassis. I brought my kid out saturday and he ran the mudboss in a breakout class and he was doing pretty well but i turned up his speed a bit too high for his main and he broke out a few times too many.

Next i need to rebuild the trans on the street car, it's pretty darn old and i probably just need to buy a new housing since i seem to eat up bearings too quickly. I assume the tolerances for holding the bearings has possibly been damaged over time and a lot of years of abuse. Other than that these cars are so freaking fun. Anyone who enjoys racing should give oval a shot.

That looks like so much fun! I've never had a chance to race oval, maybe one of these days.
